OK! You ask, why?
I am feeling Happy because APJ has given his not so ‘veiled’ consent and am enjoying the comments about ‘veil’ by another candidate designate.
The ‘secular candidate’ of the ‘secular alliance’ for the post of The President has given some historical facts about the ‘veil’ in public.
Now this is what she actually said,
“We had the concept of purdah to protect women from Mughal invaders. So, they stayed indoors and were veiled.” link.
Now, I may be asked what is so funny that, I am enjoying.
Well! I agree with this statement of hers, let me put it on record. As for enjoying, yes I am. Because as I see this coming from a ‘secular candidate’ of a ‘secular alliance’ and seeing the ‘secular lobby’ squirming over this,it is fun. And this is what I am enjoying. My good friend has done a marvelous job here, must see.
As Mr. APJ has shown willingness, the whole issue has taken an interesting turn; well it is an understatement of course! Indisputably, after a very long time we have a President who has stirred so many souls. The one, people of India in this 21st .century could look up to. A man of impeccable credentials and integrity. The most popular President Indian has ever had.
In his tenure he made only one bad decision and that was to impose president’s rule in Bihar. But we all know whose decision it was, yes who else than our intellectual and Economist Prime Mister and his Madame Sonia Gandhi.And we all know that He was in Russia and our honorable PM Mr.ManMohan Singh had assured him about the urgency of this move. So the blame for this ‘unconstitutional’ act (as described By Supreme Court) lies at their doors.
Now, if I may ask Madame Sonia, why she does not like Mr.Kalam? But has she ever answered to any one? Does she have any answer for any thing? Is she really answerable to any one? NO. She lives in a some wonder world of her own, “I ME MY FAMILY” world. If this is not true, then please answer me Madame, What is the difference between a Country and a Nation?
You may well be lording over a geographical country but you will never rule on this Nation.
This was an aside. Sorry! I digressed.
May I ask, Madame why you are so vehemently opposed to Mr.Kalam. Is it because he did not swear you in? If this is the case then what about the drama you enacted about this sacrifice of yours??? Well, we never believed you in the first place and now we are confirmed.
You’re second excuse that barring Babu Ji (Dr.Rajendra Prasad) no body else has been given the chance for second term. You say it has been the convention. Ok! Let me examine that.
1. Tell me the one instance in the history of independent India where the Prime Minister was ‘selected‘ and not elected? Our this noble soul, whom we know, mind you Madame, we only know but do not believe him to be, as the Prime Minister, has again been reelected as RAJYA SABHA member! Where is the convention that all others followed! All PM’s were directly ‘elected’ members of LOK SABHA.Why is it that Dr.ManMohan could not find one single parliamentary constituency to go to the people and show his report card and get elected? NO. He could not find a single seat, speaks volumes of your popularity and what AAM ADAMI thinks about you and your Aam Adami centric policies. Therefore there is nothing sacrosanct about conventions.If conventions can be kept aside in case of our Dear PM, then in the case of President we already have one instance.So your argument of ‘convention’ is repudiated.
2. Another charge of yours is that Mr. APJ is not ‘secular’.Now this is the hight of stupidity.Stop this non sense please. IF MR.APJ is not secular than no one is. I find your assertion that since he was elected during NDA rule so he is not, than Madame what do you propose to do with those millions who voted for NDA or voted against Congress and its alleged post elections allies’? Shall we SHOOT THEM?
3. Now, your loyal servant (Pankaj Vohara,Political Editor ,The Hindustan Congress Times ) has confirmed the worst kept secret that you are not in favor of any body who has a mind of his own in any responsible post so we have a Prime Minister, who knows nothing, we have a Home Minister whom my friend describes as ‘walking zombie’, we have you as the “Omniscient, Omni known and Omni present, Almighty Queen Mother” as UPA chairperson who will not speak! But, a certain ‘Q’ will cock a nook at the nation and flee with the money, because he hails from the country you too hail from. And Madame you are trying to impose some one as the President,whom 90% of India did not know earlier!!!
4. In all your ‘infinite’ wisdom, you woke up from some deep slumber and brought out a woman candidate after six- seven MALE candidates were rejected by allies in a long painful deliberations over a period of two months. Madame this speaks volumes of your commitment towards women empowerment!!! By the way women reservation bill has still not seen the light of day. And your this crude attempt to project her as first woman president is a joke,at the most and not funny one either.This is not women empowerment but an insult to entire womanhood. You need her because you find her harmless for some larger schemes you may be plotting having.
Now to Madame Pratibha Patil.
Madame, do excuse me if I know very little about you. Please be magnanimous and excuse at least 90% of Billion Indians, if they had heard nothing about you till recently.
Madame, this humble Prudent Indian has nothing against you. You are a woman of ‘honor’ and I respect you, nevertheless I want to draw your kind attention towards some points which are very pertinent.
1. Madame, do you really think you have been chosen to represent this Nation because you’re Madame Sonia so wishes to make a woman as the President? Are you sure you are not the least unacceptable to this gang called UPA? Yes, you too know this fact that you are just the “least unacceptable” to all the allies among all the candidates proposed by Madame. Is this ‘honor’ or ’shame’?
2. Madame, what do you think that Madame saw in you before she offered this post? Please answer that to your self. We all know what that ‘quality’ is. As this ‘Chamcha in Chief’ has admitted. And please do not underestimate his (Pankaj Vohara) information, he sits in Madame’s lawn all day, he knows all and every thing.
3. Do you really think Madame, that you will not be treated as another of Madame Sonia’s “loyal soldier” just as our ‘honorable’ PM is widely believed?
Madame, Will you ever be able to shun this image that you were a compromise candidate, a last resort, how so ever much the Congress Managers may want the people to believe it otherwise?
You can never forget it; if you ever become President then you will be under the constant scanner of the people of India. If you ever take any decision favoring Sonia and her allies,people will suspect it to be taken at the bidding of Sonia and you will be accused.
AND,If you do not favor them, then again this very Congressmen/women/babas and babes will treat you the way they treated P.V.Narsimha Rao (Indisputably the Best Pm India had ever had).You know very well Madame, that Sonia had not allowed even his dead body to enter the Congress HQ. I hope you have not forgotten the insults heaped on poor Sita Ram Kesari too. But,then how could you have forgotten? You too have been a part of Congress family for long! So who know better than you? Of course,you remember Natwar Lal Singh. Don’t you?
There fore Madame Patil, May I request you with folded hands, to excuse your good self from this race and retire in favor of Mr.APJ.
When ever history will be written this true “Sacrifice” of yours will be written in Golden Letters, very unlike the “Phony” one by Madame Sonia.
Pave the way for The President, A Billion plus nation deserve.
A President like, Mr.Kalam.
Not some one who is perceived as some token of any gender, caste, creed or region. And that too who was never considered at all or at any rate is considered as a compromise candidate.
Some one who was chosen not because of what he or she IS, but for what he or she is NOT.
The 21st. century India wants,The President who can be looked up to with pride and honor for inspiration, not another ‘LADY’ FakruDin Ali Ahmad or Zaill Singh.
NO! Not at all.
On any other given day and in case you had been the ‘First and Only Choice’, Madame Patil,you would have been an excellent choice, and I too would have stood for you,by you and with you with equal if not more whatever strength and might I have. But you too know Madame, what the situation is. Please,do India proud and retire and tell this world that if ever any body made a real sacrifice than it was YOU not the ‘drama’ as enacted before.
I am not the only Prudent Indian requesting you, there are Millions. Hope you heed the saner voices.
