Modi wins over MSM.

BJP under Narrender Modi in Gujarat has wrested five seats from the ‘Secular Congress’ in bye-poll held on Sept, 10th 2009. In Gujarat, the BJP wrested Jasdan, Chotila, Dehgam, Danta and Sami-Hariz from Congress while it lost Kodinar to the Congress which managed to retain Dhoraji alone.

BJP also has won one each in Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

These results are significant for two reasons at least…

  1. The media’s immoderate reportage, off-late, of whatever good or bad was happening inside the BJP, had reached to the nauseating crescendo. Media had almost written off BJP and anybody who is any damn body in MSM, had penned down the ‘obituary’ of the party.
  2. The ‘Secular Congress’ and its ‘dirty tricks department’ choreographed a ‘magisterial report and ‘henchmen’ in Media lapped it up and splashed it all over on the eve of Bye-Election. Only to ensure Modi’s defeat by consolditing the ‘secular vote bank’ behind the Congress – as always. Only for their (MSM) pursuit of winning/securing favors from the ‘reigning queen’ of 10 Janpath.

But then, people of Gujarat and MP and Uttrakhand are wiser than these ‘media henchmen’ of Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi. People have voted and pronounced their verdict. Possibly, the chosen mandarin this time could not manage the BYE-Elections as truthfully’ as he did during elections for Lok Sabha 2009.

As results were declared this afternoon (Sept, 14th, 2009) I am hardly surprised to see a complete mum on 24X7 Channels as if the ‘Cat has got their tongues’! Imagine: just incase the results were reversed in favor of Sonia ‘Mata’s Secular Congress!

Lucky for them (MSM), Sachin and Dhoni have – by scoring a century and half century respectively- given them (MSM) a face saver and an excuse to hide their shamed face.

24X7 ‘maudlin reporters’ are ‘NOW’ busy discussing ODI being played at Sri Lanka.

BTW, it would be really interesting to see what the Padamshri Barkha Didi, Padamshri Rajdeep Bhaiya and other ‘Padam’ awardees in MSM (including print media man too) answer and mollify Madame Sonia for their (MSM) collective failure in ‘maligning Modi Campaign’ on eve of By-Election this time, and as a policy 24 hours  365 days of year.

Padam Awarded Editors/Managing Editors/Editors in Chief etc and those ‘aspiring’ ones too have a lesson to learn from this: perfidy of yours was too well known to voting ‘prudent voters’ and they are the ones who matter.

Period.

As for you Padam Bhushans/Shris of MSM, here one of you ‘Padamshri’ Shri Shri Rajdeep had said I quote him with my comments in ‘saffron’ (communal color?).

So be it.

Padamshri Rajdeep Sardesai on June 26th, 2001 in a seminar.

Another reason for the problem is the changing self-image of the journalist, and his role in a democratic system. For a long time the journalist’s role was seen to be that of an independent observer of eventsBut observation alone can be rather tedious and not very financially productive either. So, over the years, the journalist has chosen to move from the margins of the fourth estate to being firmly on the centre stage, closer to the first estate (read first family Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi’). Ideological corruption is as much a part in this process as anything else. A journalist can get close to a political party (read Congress), business house (read Reliance Anil Ambani Group (update: then in 2001 now it is Mukesh as Madame wishes) or an individual (read Guru Amar Singh (update: he too is discarded after this)) in a manner that compromises his (read the journalists) independence (simply put: paid and paid for the job to do for ‘Madame’). Having acquired that proximity (with Congress and the Maino family)the journalist can then use his clout on a larger scale, playing kingmaker (as he DID) in cementing political alliances (By STILL not telecasting tapes) at the centre or in providing the (Help winning the political and/ or pay masters) link between a minister in the Union cabinet (?) and a business house (we all know, who.) in need of a favor. (Yes, do tell us please, is to serve the greatest cause of saving Hindustan from Communal forces?!)

Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi ‘owned’ congress is just a political ‘front’ for forces unseen, it is ‘perfidious MSM’ who have been playing games (for lucre and fame or may be what else sinister agenda they have and is not disclosed as yet) but ‘detrimental’ to Hindus and Bharat. Modi has given them a befitting reply and I pray: ‘let the Modi tribe grow’.

Modi’s win is a tight slap on not Congress’s face alone; but on ‘perfidious media’ and 24X7 sec-soc channels too, sorry we can not distinguish between you two. :)

24×7 and Padamshris, will you please, ‘Shut Up’ Now?

Sec Soc MSM's Crow Mentality.

Sec Soc MSM's Crow Mentality.

Political observers have observed a ‘definite secular pattern’ whenever elections are due in Gujarat and/or in any state/states where the Balidaan Moorti’s Secular party has high stakes.

Broadly the pattern is: As soon as the Election dates are announced the hunt to find an/any Issue which is emotionally sensitive to the Biggest ‘Secular Vote’ bank of the party begins. As if on a clue; some inquiry commission/committee, Human Terrorists Rights Flag bearers, some 100% SECULAR NGOS run by Padamshri (!) come out with a ‘damning Modi’ report in Media and then the entire ‘Sec-Soc MSM’ take command in their ‘Professional Hands’already ‘suitably greased’ with Padamshris, Bhushans, free plots, privileges etc.  – and they take care that the issue is discussed/debated on each and every program 24X7 till the voting date at least, from there on it is the able hands of ‘Election Commission’ under Shri Naveen Chawala to take care.

As I am punching keys, North Gujarat and Saurashtra region of Gujarat are casting votes to fill up 7 vacancies in a by-election for state assembly. Maharashtra; a politically significant state for NCP and Sonia Congress, Harayana and Arunachal Pradesh shall go to polls on Oct 13th- almost a month from now.

Just couple of days before Gujarat goes to by-election, One Additional metropolitan magistrate comes out with an ‘inquiry report’ and ‘dutifully submits’ that to the Media and ‘sec-soc’ MSM not only laps it up; but splash that all over!!!!!

SECULARISM AT FULL SWING on poll eve!

Now what the report is about: Ishrat Jahan and her four male accomplices shot dead by Gujarat police as they (police) had reliable, actionable and confirmed information provided by the Centre (Manmohan Government).

Three days ahead of by-poll in Gujarat SP Tamang  [Additional] Metropolitan Magistrate  come to the conclusion that the police faked the ‘encounter’ with four ‘terrorists’, among them a young college student, Ishrat Jahan, to secure promotion and appreciation.

Not only ‘conclusion’ which this AMM reached at, amazing is the speed at which he reached at! IN 25 DAYS FLAT! A Gujarat Govt source has told me in confidence that the report submitted is ‘hand written’.

Amazing! Isn’t it that [Additional] Metropolitan Magistrate SP Tamang was in some tearing hurry!

Interestingly AMM SP Tamang thought it fit to release this report via Media on the eve of by poll!.

Who did SP Tamang [Additional] Metropolitan Magistrate submit report to?

Mukul Sinha: Defense lawyer got it before even Gujarat High Court did.

What did Mukul Sinha the ‘defense lawyer’ does?

He calls selected ‘Sec-Soc’ MSM and releases the report.

What Does the ‘Sec-Soc’ MSM does?

The Hindustan Congress Times splashes it, Barkha Didi’s 24X7 Channel shows 24X7 prominently so did Rajdeep Bhaiya  too jump in – lest Barkha Didi run away with ‘Better awards’ than him. Other channels too followed ‘cacophony’ and lo and behold: Modi is damned for killing an innocent ‘Collage girl’ as patriotic as you and me! And this line is toed by other sundry but equally secular Media pundits…and all this happens just three days before Gujarat goes to By Polls!

This whole thing (submission and reportage of the ‘fake encounter’ report’) is acquiescently ‘choreographed’ by ‘Secular Brigade’ just ahead of Voting.

In SP Tamang [Additional] Metropolitan Magistrate’s own words,

that the police faked the ‘encounter’ with four ‘terrorists’, among them a young college student, Ishrat Jahan, to secure promotion and appreciation. The incident occurred on June 15, 2004, in the outskirts of Ahmedabad…

Point taken Sir.

Does the Tamang’s ‘lightening speed’ findings, submission of ‘handwritten’ report to Sec-Soc MSM just two days ahead of polling qualify to be ‘accused and imputed- as he does to the policemen’ - to the same motive… i.e  ‘ (to) secure promotion and appreciation’ from powers ruling India from 10 Janpath

After all ‘Modi Bashing’ is an industry and many ‘secularists’ have benefited from it by making millions and by securing Padamshris/Bhushans for selves. Teesta, Barkha, Rajdeep, Shekhar Gupta, Vinod Dua etc etc are some names which come to mind instantly. So does Retd.Justice UC Baneerjee or Justice (Retd) JS Anand and top of all Justice (Retd) Rajeender Sachhar.

In short and in Rajdeep Bhayia’s own words, ‘Secular’

  “Hamam Mein Sab Nange Hain”

Sadly though, neither this is first time; nor will be the last, when ‘serving’ or retd members of Judiciary too have ‘acquiesced’.

As if Secular Polity and Secular Media were not enough! Secular Judiciary too joins the circus.

Ideally the Election Commission should have taken a suo-moto notice against this blatant violation of ‘code of conduct’ and held report and it’s reportage on hold. But then, it is under Shri Naveen Chawala of ‘emergency vintage’; so we all know what to expect. Don’t We?

National Interst? What? Sonia's Interest is what matters: MMS

National Interst? What? Sonia's Interest is what matters: MMS

The credentials of Shri G Parthasarthi are beyond reproach, especially in matters related to ‘foreign affairs’ he is an authority. G Parthasarthi is apolitical, unbiased and most importantly does not carry any ideological baggage and neither does he have an axe to grind unlike the Sec-Soc media and ‘Sonia stooges’ in MSM. I always look up to Shri Parthasarthi for a clear perspective on matters related to ‘foreign policy’, especially when it is related with Pakistan.

The abject surrender by the MMS and his team of worthies at Sharm – el- Sheikh is what Parthasarthi calls as ‘Sharm -less-  Surrender’ and this sums it all up and very aptly. No need to say anything more here, I leave that to the ‘foreign affairs experts’ to enlighten us.

Since after this ‘Shame Less Surrender’ MMS is back and has been facing flak – rightly so- from all quarters. There is an outrage and people are angry about the sell out and that ‘too’ to Pakistan. The new entrant to the Sonia family owned ‘secular party’, MOS foreign affairs Shashi Tharoor dismisses it as just…

“It’s all very well for the people to say that somehow India’s interest was compromised by a few words on a piece of paper that is not a legal document,” said Tharoor.

As if this was not enough…

“It (the joint statement) is a diplomatic paper that is released to the press different from legal papers,” he maintains.

Tell me again that this man ran for UNO Secretary General’s post!

Coming back to the ‘Shame Less Surrender’ to Pakistan and the subsequent reaction in India, I wonder what all this annoyance is about! Is it the first time that the prime minister (and all Congress men/women) has sold out India’s advantage to Pakistan in hope of consolidating and harvesting ‘secular votes’ during elections!

Foreign policy for any country is a serious issue and is taken with utmost sincerity. Only the ‘National Interest’ of their country is supreme most and all the countries in the world including Pakistan recognizes it, but Alas! We Indians are an exception. We are the ONLY country in the World (and mind you BILLION + STRONG) who prides in self for capitulating and shortchanging our ‘strategic, military and even diplomatic’ advantages over Pakistan for petty gains. And ‘petty gains’ for whom? For ‘we the people of India’? NAY- but for the petty gains of one Family and for their stooges alone.

This is not an accusation hurled at Sonia or at her Prime Minion in anger or in a fit of rage. No. PM after PM from the Congress stable has blundered with such sickening frequency. The Congress has perfected and copyrighted it in the hope of garnering ‘secular votes’. Congress’s unstated policy /belief is that Pakistan must be placated anyhow if Congress is to appear secular in the eyes of the Indian Muslims. This is an affront to Indian Muslims too, if only they (Muslims) understand it. My charge is that the Congress has failed India time and again and at the cost of India’s National Interest.

This is just to refresh your memory of certain misdeeds committed (at our and our beloved nation’s expense) by the Prime Ministers from the ‘secular party’.

Starting from beginning (the root cause of all problems) Pandit J L Nehru (Chachaji) could just not suppress his urge and compromised on the Indian claim to Kashmir. He went on radio to announce and then on to UNO, despite the sane advice of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel against doing so. But then Chacha Ji had the propensity of using, in my dear friend Sandeep’s words,

“How a man whom a lot of liberals consider the “architect of modern India” allowed the wrong part of his anatomy to interfere in strategic decision-making.”

Do Read and weep.

Chachaji did not stop here only, he went on and ‘traded off’ India’s historic and cultural influence over Tibet with the then Chinese PM for some hollow promise and see how China swallowed Tibet! Chachaji had big illusions of being a ‘World Leader’ so some shortchange of ‘National Interest’ in pursuance of that goal was ok with him.

Now I hold Shri Lal Bahadur Shastriji in high esteem, but even he too lost the strategic and military advantage over Pakistan in Tashkent, a deal brokered by the communist USSR. This was followed by the death of Shastri Ji @ Tashkent under not so clear circumstances.

Indira Gandhi – way back in 1971, whom Atal Ji then hailed as ‘Durga’ – is remembered and known ‘more’ for splitting Pakistan into two. As a matter of record Sam Manek Shaw drafted that victory and capturing 90,000 Pakistani soldiers alive was his ‘achievement’ and that too was squandered away by Indira ‘Durga’ Gandhi after the ‘infamous’ walk on Mall Road of Simla with wily Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

What did India gain except some hollow promises from Bhutto in exchange of these POWs (Prisioners of War)?

Not for nothing my Grandfather who served Indian Army then in these two wars, derided  Congress Netas as ‘Gandhi Topis’  for squandering the military gains (at the cost of Soldiers lives)  across the negotiating table to Pakistan for known only to them ‘gains’.

Prince is no different either.

What explains then the release of 90,000 (NINTY THOUSAND PAKISTANI SOLDIERS AS POW) could they not have been used as a bargaining tool to settle all and any disputes with Pakistan for once and all and ON OUR OWN CONDITIONS? What then made Indira to let go free these 90,000 Pakistani soldiers? And now their ‘progeny’ make such a hue and cry of releasing four Pakistanis in exchange of 200 lives brushing aside the exchange of FIVE terrorists for Saeed’s daughter Rubihya!!!!

But No, both father (Chachaji) and daughter did nothing in the larger interest of Nation but for their petty gains. Both were seriously myopic and self centered .As for poor Shastri Ji, he died in mysterious circumstances and I have nothing against him.

Had things stopped here would have still been of some commiseration. But no, we are doomed to be misgoverned by Congress. PV Narsimha Rao though considered as the best PM among the Congress stable, aborted Nuclear Tests presumably under US pressure. It was for ABV to defy even the omniscient and omnipresent US Satellites to conduct that when he became Prime Minister.

If Chachaji and the original Mrs. Gandhi – born Indian at least - played havoc with Indian National Interest, could then a Prime Minion under a ‘Reluctant Indian’ of ‘Italian origin’ do better? So why the hell this outrage!!!!!!!

After all 15% of India’s  ‘secular’ population is to be kept in good humor for them to vote ‘en block’ during elections for the ‘secular party’  and voting ‘strategically’ against the ‘communal party’ – equating them (Indian Muslims)  with Pakistanis is not an insult to them, but Secularism! And this ‘Secularism’ propounded by Chachaji and followed by other Congress men/women/Babes and Babes is the key to power.

MMS is toeing the same line as his predecessors did; and his ‘ Big Fart’ at Sharm – el – Sheikh is nothing unusual, just in line of compromising Indian National Interest at the altar of a ‘few secular votes’.

Shameless are they?

No, they were in power and have ‘managed/manufactured’ another win too.

Now it is to us ‘The Billion strong nation’ to be shame faced and feel betrayed by yet another Congress Pm @ our cost. As for Sonia’s Prime Minion: he sure has ensured his ‘pension’ and ensuing perks.

100% Optical Illusion Alone Lol! I am back after a prolonged hiatus from blog and this is my first post since the Sonia/ MMS ‘mysteriously’ managed electoral survival. Well, not only that – but managed to come back with more nos of seats than last time too. Sure, MMS by virtue of being a career bureaucrat all his life; knows the ‘art of survival’.

Well, where the credit to Madame Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi and Crowned Prince is understandable nevertheless the role of Media especially of the Liberal – Secular variety can not be underestimated either. May be that is precisely why the News Queen and News Raja were suitably awarded by the Sonia’s Prime Minion!!!

Placement of ‘Right’ man/woman in ‘right’ place at ‘right’ time for ‘right’ job did not disappoint Sonia and her team at all.

If in case this person had failed to deliver the desired results; the powers to be had one back up plan ready to meet that contingency. i.e.: in case of hung verdict the other ‘right’ person at ‘right’ place for the ‘right’ decision would have come in to play.

Congress has ruin ruled India for long and has perfected the art of managing ‘constitutional posts’ very well. History proves my point.

Look at the post ‘results 2009’ political scene. Methodically; difficult allies like Left are decimated. Blackmailing allies like Laloo and Paswan are biting dust. Stream of corrupt politicians (Balu, Raja etc) from MDMK- though are back, but chastened somewhat. Missionary minister like Ramdoss of PMK ‘blew away’.  Potential threats from Maya, Jaya, Naidu etc. is checked and mated well. Political dalals (as we saw in action July last year during No Confidence motion) are jobless. And for sure the ‘Communal BJP’ is routed.

Congress never had it so good in recent times. WOW!

All this with single digit increase in % share of votes!

Single digit % increase in votes resulting in almost 100 seats gain!

UNBELIEVABLE you say!

For no other reason, I call this ‘the perfect election planning’. Kudos to Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi!

Spin-misters of Congress dynasty masquerading as ‘journalists’ and/or outright Congress stooges deeply embedded in Sec-Soc ‘main stream media’ are smug and gloating over ‘the mysterious’ win of Congress. In their collective wisdom the victory of Congress is attributed to the ‘Tayag’ of Sonia, to smiling dimpled face of Crowned Prince and yes to Dr. ‘the economist’ PM too is mentioned in some passing reference. How every one including this ‘Great’ did not see the PRO Congress Wave before results 2009? No body answers.

Mata Ji Tusi Great Ho! Sachi Muchi!

Jaikara Maata 10 Janpath Walli Da…

Bol Sonia Tere Darbaar Ki Jai.

MMS in his earlier avatar as PM was a big disappointment, had very little to boost of, for positives (if any) the credit was appropriated by Maa Balidaan Moorti and the Crowned Prince and for majority of all things MMS govt failed miserably, blame was passed conveniently on to the difficult allies like Left or to blackmailer like Laloos or to corrupt Balu and Raja or to opportunistic Ram Vilas etc. MMS as Prime Minion Minister either knew nothing or did nothing. Even it took him FULL FOUR years to fire this ‘Zombie’!

If at all one and only achievement credited to MMS was: The Nuclear ‘NoClear’ deal! Right from beginning it was mired in one controversy followed by another and finally was finalized at the cost of ‘democracy’ with active support of ‘Power brokers’ and conniving Media ‘stalwarts’. Worst fears expressed against the deal then; have come to fore now.

Having said above, I wish us Billion + Indians good luck (we need it and loads of it) – like it or not, with MMS as ‘nominated’ PM yet again for another five years or till the ‘youthful’ no more @ 39 Crowned Prince decide to decide how to carry on the legacy of mis-governance inherited from ‘the great Nana dear of Daddy dear’ – in which ever case we are doomed/destined to be misgoverned by Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi and her son and then grand son/daughter…

History seldom provides another opportunity to any; but MMS has got another chance (thanks to Mata Ji). I being a democrat (howsoever flawed it may be, yet it is best option as I see it)  hope MMS won’t fail HIS Nation this time; at least for as long as he remains as Prime Minion Minister. He has served the ‘Dynasty’ for far too long and with distinction. Of course! I fervently hope that this time at least he would serve the nation too. Even if with half a commitment as he has for the ‘Family’, it would be good job done.

If Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi had always been ‘loyal’ to her ‘Countryman’ using/abusing YOU (MMS govt), what stops MMS to help OWN ‘really poor’ fellow Countrymen, Women and Children! Using this ‘mysterious win’ to his (in the interest of his own country) advantage he can do it- if he so wants. Time for MMS to prove he is ‘The Prime Minister’ of a billion strong Nation called ‘BHARAT’ not merely a ‘Prime Minion’ of one family @ 10 Janpath alone.

Dr. MMS wish you are listening. Are you? I wish you luck and hope you would prove to be more than just a ‘survivor’ and ‘pension seeker’ unlike any other good ‘Career Babu’.

As for BJP: This defeat presents an opportunity to introspect and do that sincerely. May be we are heading towards bipolarity of politics, though it still is premature to say so conclusively. It is high time to put act together and bounce back, Bharat would do well to have a strong ‘Right leaning’ counter force against the onslaught of ‘supposedly secular forces’.

Friends, whatever is happening in BJP is not necessarily bad (as made out and amplified by MSM) rather this ‘churning’ will help BJP and new leadership emerge and ‘strongly’ too. One way forward is to go back to basics and stop try to being secular.

What ever BJP may try; two things are certain…

  1. The ‘Most Secular’ 15% of Indian population would just not vote for you.
  2. The ‘Sec-Soc’ liberal and progressive media would only foul mouth any thing ‘Hindi, Hindu and Hindutava’.

MSM through this victory of ‘Dynasty’ has tasted the blood. The mighty omniscient, omni known and omnipresent ‘Sec- Soc Liberal and Progressive’ media might pose a serious challenge to the Bharat.

Prudent Indian.

Jai Ho!Jai Ho!

The Election Commission has not only exceeded its brief but has made a fool of self by asking BJP not to field Varun Gandhi. It is sad if not outright stupid. Former Election Commissioner GVG Krishnamurthy explains why.

The Election Commission has no jurisdiction to take action against Gandhi” for his alleged inflammatory speeches.

The model code of conduct comes into effect only after President Pratibha Patil notifies the elections in the official gazette. Till then Gandhi cannot be considered an Election Commission recognized candidate.

The commission has acted in haste in moving against Gandhi for violation of the model code of conduct under the provisions of the Representation of Peoples Act 1951.

Only the police can move against him under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for inciting communal passions.

As of now Varun is only a probable candidate and an ordinary citizen against whom action can be taken only under the IPC if he makes inflammatory statements.

The Election Commission has no role to play till the notification of elections by the president.

‘Wonder of Wonders’! This time I found this ‘Chamcha in Chief’ in agreement with me though he is still defending ‘Dynastic Scion’ albeit on the other side of political divide. Good going CIC. :) You know well how to keep the both sides of bread buttered.

The ‘really actual’ fun will began … of course at our cost…when Shri Shri Naveen Chawala will take over as the ‘CHIEF’ Election Commissioner on April 21st- right in the middle of this election 2009- courtesy the Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi’s handpicked Prime Minion and Your President. But then… for some, ‘Dynasty is always superior to Democracy’ despite this sane advice “If we fail democracy, democracy will fail us.”

JAI HO!

BCCI to stage IPL abroad over security issues.

JAI HO!

We a BILLION strong nation comes to standstill because we are a ‘Democracy’!!??

JAI HO?

With Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi as ‘Supreme most’ we can not hold a ‘domestic tournament’ even in our Billion strong nation!

JAI HO!

With ‘Economist’ Prime Minion ‘alleged’ to be at the helm of affairs of BILLION strong nation – hardly seen or reported or recognized as – even by the ‘babas and babes’ of Congress; leave alone ‘AAM ADAMI’!!!

JAI HO!

Last but not least three cheers for ‘Your President’ too…

JAI HO! JAI HO!! JAI HO!!!

My dear friend Mallika has posted this video asking who’s ‘Jai Ho’?

Congress Ki Ya Janata Ki?

See this video here and send to as many as you can. Congress might have BOUGHT the copyright and deservedly so. I choose to say ‘Jai Ho’… :)

Mallika, JANATA KI HI JAI HOTI HAI OR HOTI RAHEGI.

IS LIYE ‘JAI HO’ JANATA KI.

Varun Gandhi

Varun Gandhi on March 4th while attending a ‘workers meet’ in Pillibhit is alleged to have made a speech which has in turn made the Sec –Soc MSM go into a frenzy and their ‘Secular Wailing’ has become unbearably nauseating.

On Varun’s speech,Sandeep here has made an excellent post and I agree with him somewhat. Here is my take on this issue.

To start with, Varun’s ‘alleged’ speech CD first.

  • Is it proven beyond doubt that this is what exactly he said?
  • Is it proven beyond doubt that this CD was not doctored? After all MSM does not cover itself in glory when the matter relates to fake stings and dubious CDs, doing rounds of News Broadcasters, whenever elections are around.
  • Why has the CD been not telecast earlier on 4th of March when this ‘allegedly communal’ speech was made? Why was the matter delayed till 16th March?
  • Who all were holding this CD for 12 whole days and why?
  • MOST IMPORTANT: Who has recorded this speech? On watching this video it is very clear that it was not recorded by a professional cameraman but by someone else. Where is that camera on which this video was recorded?

These are a few pertinent points that need to be considered before Varun is pronounced guilty of ‘hate speech’ and/or ‘inflaming communal passion’ and whatever adjectives MSM is using against Varun Gandhi.

Furthermore, our country has a constitution with well laid down laws and procedures that need to be followed before pronouncing anyone guilty. So why is there such a great hurry to damn Varun even before his guilt is established?

Well, the reasons are not difficult to comprehend when we look at the famous players behind this ‘Secular Wailing’!

Here is one Padma Shri Madame’s strongly secular 24X7 news channel chosen to telecast the CD after a gap of 12 whole days!!!! Since March 16th the Padma Shri’s channel has been engaging the fast dwindling audiences with their secular rant and has already pronounced Varun guilty and just short of hanging him; has recommended all sorts of punishment that range from debarring him from the electoral race to sending him to jail for three years maximum!!!!

Another Padma Shri of ‘Congress News Network’ has the gall to say, “…we must not allow Varun to get away so easily.”  AUDACIOUS! Pray May I ask him what should be done with you Sir for the role you played in rescuing the Baliddaan Moorti’s handpicked Prime Minion by ‘hiding the tapes’! HUH!

‘Hamam Mein Sab Nange Hain’, of course! Hiding the tapes then and showing it NOW repeatedly! WOW! Look who is talking!

I am not sure about what Varun is supposed to have said, but if at all he has said what he is ‘alleged’ to have said, then I think that this is what most Hindus have been feeling since Her Majesty inflicted her handpicked Prime Minion on us.

The Muslim first policy and unabashed ‘minority (read Muslims) appeasement’ in the name of Secularism has done no service to either the Muslims or the Hindus but has only helped to widen the gulf. (It is foolish to think that this ‘gulf’ does not or did not exist by mouthing meaningless and hollow platitudes). If it is at all true what Varun is alleged to have said, it is only the manifestation of this simmering anger among the Hindus.

Now BJP’s confusion.

BJP’s confusion is pathetic to say the least. Flip Flop! I, for one, hold this opinion that ‘BJP lost 2004 not because of being seen as a Hindu party but for not being a Hindu Enough party’ which could be very simplistic but true nevertheless. I wish the BJP had learned some lessons from the past and not tried to be so enthusiastically ‘secular’.

If you happen to be Editor, Managing Editor, Editor in Chief or an Executive Editor in Sec-Soc Main Stream Media and dream for becoming some Padam Shri or Padam Bhushan then; all that you need to do is: Sing Pagans in praise of Madame, project Rahul as the future and more importantly do all you can to down size Advani. Do that by all means who stops you after all one Padam Shri Editor in Chief say and say openly, “Hamam Mein Sab Nange Hain”. Who doubts any more?

All these mighty people have their own perspective of issues depending upon their ‘political and/or economic’ intersests. Well, I hold nothing against them for their ‘being’ what they are, but WTF if they delebirately become so oblivious of some very  basic and  simple facts and in their zeal to be more loyal to Queen lie through teeth!!!!!

It is one thing to project the one who hold license to rule but bloody too much to do what this one Pranjal Sharma of UTVi does here. Screw up history, contort Geography and project self as a front runner for some Padam Shri or Bhushan is too much to digest????

Shamelessly This Executive Editor of UTVi does exactly the same and say ‘this’ about Shri L.K.Advani,

A Prime Minister born in Karachi may not go down well post-26/11.

Well! Is this Executive Editor Pranjal Sharma really ignorant of history? Is he really ignorant of geography before 1947 or after? None. He is simply being too smart by half by exploiting the popular sentiment of General Public against the perpetrators of Mumbai Mayhem coming from Karachi.

These days challenging these high and mighty ones are a risky thing. After all not long back the ‘Queen’ of Indian News sued a poor blogger and Raja of Indian News demonstrated how ‘Media Mein Sab Nange Hain’ .

For the benefit of this Executive Editor of UTVi, here are two maps pre and post partition of India and that too when Nehru and Gandhi were at the helms of affairs.

Executive Editor Missed seeing this. HUH!

Executive Editor Missed seeing this. HUH!

Just one question for this ‘Executive Editor’ Pranjal Sharma of UTVi

Was ‘Karachi’ a part of India or not

in 1929? If yes, then WTF is this above sentence for if not outrageoulsy outrageous?

But only if not Pranjal Sharma’s intention is to obfuscate facts and promote self at the cost of Geography then what else is it?

Shameless! Utterly Shameless.

Another example how the Congress fixed Institutions.

‘Executive Editor’ Pranjal Sharma get your facts right and/or SHUT UP.

Finally on August 11th, 2008 Padmashri Rajdeep Sardesai choose to share the here-to hidden tapes of Cash-For-Votes-Scandal.

What was so ‘auspicious’ on this day? Well, only Padmashri Rajdeep Ji know and can answer. BUT, why did he not telecast the tapes on 22nd July the day MMS BOUGHT the confidence of MPs and lost the Trust of Nation? Are, still not clear. But Padmashri Ji did give following reason for not airing those. He Said and I quote…

“Why have we not telecast the story so far? Quite simply, we have chosen not to telecast the story yet because we did not feel that the story was complete. Credible journalism is based on accuracy not speed, facts not sensationalism, reportage not allegations and assumptions. Our rigorous editorial protocol demands that even a hidden camera shoot is absolutely water-tight. In this particular story, there were many loose ends that needed to be cross-checked, corroborated and investigated further before the story could be aired. … […]

This is what forced Padamshri Rajdeep Sardesai to with hold telecasting sting…

1. Story was not complete.

2. As per his channel’s strict and ethical standards, the sting did not come true to their standards.

3. And finally most importantly, HE needed some more time to investigate the charges further.

Laudable Indeed! Well, skeptics in any case knew why tapes were with held, as you’re truly too wrote here why? Many people still gave Padamshri Rajdeep Sardesai a ‘benefit of doubt’, believing him for the mentioned reasons excuses, cited above.

Since the fateful July 22nd, 2008 all of sudden there were spurt of CDs released. ‘A circus of absurd’ was unleashed in the capital of World’s Largest Democracy. Democracy; which was ashamed on July 22nd!

… Teri CD… Meri CD… Us Ke CD… Kis ki CD

Meri CD Teri CD Se Tez Hai.

Tu Jhootha Mein Sacha….

For full 20 days, every body was accusing every body else and Mr. Padamshri – except for once – kept a Sphinx like silence. Then came August 11th, 2008. World awaited with ‘baited breath’ to know these modern day Dushashans (Amar and Co.), Durdoyans (Laloos, Shibhus,Mulayams,Paswans), Bhishams (who presided over humiliation of democracy, who else than ManMohan and Dada?), Dhritshashtra Mata (Ma Sonia Maino ) etc, who disrobed ‘Democracy’ that day Rajdeep.

For full two hours and thirty minutes, I just sat watching, infect after tapes ran through once – which showed what I knew already, was expecting Mr. Padamshri to enlighten me with his some more NEW findings… but I kept waiting and the MR. Padamshri wound up the program and left for home… leaving me wondering, what the fuck is/was all this fuss all about!

If this is what Rajdeep ‘had been hiding’ or was it all he had to say? Then he could very well have aired these tapes on July 22nd too!

What Rajdeep showed on 11th was no surprise at all, look here just after a week on 31st July Cash-For-Votes-Hide-The-Tape-Scandal this humble your truly had published the dates and time wise details of what had happened. FULL 12 days AHEAD OF Mr. Padamshri’s ‘Whatever it Takes’ journalist driven channel! :)

Now there are two moot questions which still remain unanswered and once again the whole sting operation is open to speculations and – as Rajdeep grudge against– ‘innuendos’ too.

Mr. Padamshri you with held tapes for more than 20 days, yet you reached to NO conclusion (as you said then, that you with held tapes for since it were inconclusive on 22nd)?

Mr. Padamshri, you also neither substantiated the charges nor refuted them! It still is as ‘loose ended’ as it was on 22nd July!

Rajdeep Sar, you had full 20 days and had you or/and your channel CNN IBN so wanted, you could have easily ‘sought and got’ the phone records of Sanjeev Saxena and Guru Amar Singh and for sure, could have either established the ‘alleged allegations’ made by Shri Arun Jatiley or refuted them unequivocally! STRANGE you needed this PI’s suggestion to apply common sense! :)

One more thing, you said some thing about ‘Credible Journalism’- what ever this means – and said it was another factor for you to ‘decide’ to not to air tapes on 22nd, as promised to ‘whistle blowers’. Forgive me Rajdeep for my ‘cynicism’; I am reproducing a small portion from my last post published in your honor.

Rajdeep your own words…

Another reason for the problem is the changing self-image of the journalist, and his role in a democratic system. For a long time the journalist’s role was seen to be that of an independent observer of events. But observation alone can be rather tedious and not very financially productive either. So, over the years, the journalist has chosen to move from the margins of the fourth estate to being firmly on the centre stage, closer to the first estate (read first family Soinia ‘Maino’ Gandhi’). Ideological corruption is as much a part in this process as anything else. A journalist can get close to a political party (read Congress), business house (read Reliance Anil Ambani Group) or an individual ( read Guru Amar Singh) in a manner that compromises his (read the journalists) independence. Having acquired that proximity (with Congress and the Maino family), the journalist can then use his clout on a larger scale, playing kingmaker in cementing political alliances (By STILL not telecasting tapes) at the centre or in providing the (Help winning the political and/ or pay masters) link between a minister in the Union cabinet (?) and a business house (we all know, who.) in need of a favor. (Yes, do tell us please, is to serve the greatest cause of saving Hindustan from Communal forces?!)

Who is this ‘The Journalist’ Rajdeep Sardesai?

STRANGE, you did not answer this too brother! :(

Anyway, why you with held telecast when it mattered most or why you did telecast tapes defying all the reasons excuses you offered then… is only for Madame Sonia, Dr. MMS, Guru Amar Singh Ji, Anil Ambani or/and Amreeka to comprehend. J For a lesser mortal like me, I am still just as ignorant even today as I was on 22nd July.

Since I am neither a journalist nor a lawyer not even a well known one… what ever I say does not affect you – rather why should to you – or matters. So I take leave of you SAR, but before I leave, do want to tell you what your own ‘fraternity’ has to say about all this… good or bad, settle among selves… and yes, if you settle debates over some ‘drinks’ and feel like inviting me too! SAR, let me tell you my choice. I prefer Bacardi ‘on the rocks’. Cheers!

Why Mr. Padamshri did not air tapes on 22nd July?

Francois Gautier explains why.

There was a deafening silence on the role of Rajdeep Sardesai and his channel CNN-IBN’s role in helping the Congress win the vote. Sardesai sat on a sting tape which clearly showed someone who was close to Amar Singh handing over a crore to BJP MPs. If the tape had been aired it would have immediately led to the postponement of the trust vote and the UPA would have ultimately lost it. Instead, he handed it over to the Speaker only at 5 pm, knowing that it would be too late and that most likely Somnath Chatterjee would avoid taking immediate action.

Why did Mr. Padamshri telecast on 11th August, 2008?

Do Read this. An excellent analysis by ‘Ramanajum’ at THE HOOT.

Finally, this is what Eminent jurist Fali S Nariman said.

He said: “This particular episode could have been released immediately and if it was not released immediately on legal advice then I believe it should have awaited the results of the Parliament committee’s investigation”.

The TRUTH you are professionally bond to unearth and tell the world. I hope you have not forgotten the ‘Shashi Nath Jha’ murder. Power corrupts. And absolute power corrupts absolutely. Power is simply to either ‘Grant an Undeserved Favor or Snatch a Rightful Right’. Right?

How the barbs thrown at others come back ‘haunting you’! In other words, when you dug a pit for others, you too might fall in that – some day!

We all have been passed on for generations this ‘Time Tested Wisdom’ that, “Lies have no feet. To cover up ‘a’ lie told; you invent another Hundreds of Lies. Eventually, you end up get caught in a web of your own lies’.

CNN IBN commissioned sting (cash for vote scandal) has made a storm not only in political circles but has been a hot topic among the media and many speculations are doing the rounds, ever since the eminent journalist Shri ‘Bharat Vibhushan’ Rajdeep Sardesai refused to air the tapes.

Yesterday CNN IBN issued a long statement – after 10 whole days – explaining why they (CNN IBN) did not telecast the sting.

Statement starts with, “In the last week, there has been speculation over an alleged ‘sting’ operation… […]

Mind the use of word ‘alleged’ in the opening sentence! Now read this,

“The ‘sting’ operation conducted by our investigation team… […]

Huh!

“Why have we not telecast the story so far? Quite simply, we have chosen not to telecast the story yet because we did not feel that the story was complete.Credible journalism is based on accuracy not speed, facts not sensationalism, reportage not allegations and assumptions. Our rigorous editorial protocol demands that even a hidden camera shoot is absolutely water-tight.In this particular story, there were many loose ends that needed to be cross-checked, corroborated and investigated further before the story could be aired. … […]

Pray tell me Rajdeep, since when you have assumed the role of being an investigative agency head? And do tell us how many ‘sting operations’ aired at CNN IBN had been proved ‘complete’ and conclusive’?

The hoot asks, Is it the job of a TV channel to provide proof to any Constitutional authority, in this case the Speaker, before telecasting the news to its viewers?” Any answer, Bharat Bhushan Rajdeep Sardesai SAR?

The statement says, “As it transpired, even before we could complete the process of investigation, three BJP MPs made allegations in parliament of having been bribed and displayed cash in the House… […]

I am taking liberty to publish the sequence of the events and let us see what Rajdeep has to offer.

Following is the sequence of events, as told by ‘ A Confidential Source’. Let me make it clear. I am under no obligation to disclose my sources, (Isn’t it Rajdeep? J What you enjoy as ‘the privilege’ to with hold naming sources, I too reserve the same)

This is what ‘most probably’ had happened on Monday, 21st July 2008 and Tuesday, 22nd July 2008.

•Monday 11.30 am: After an unnamed “intermediary” approaches the three BJP MPs, party trouble-shooters contact the CNN-IBN. Faggan Singh Kulaste and Mahavir Bhagora are driven to the Le Meridien Hotel, supposedly to meet Congress leader Ahmed Patel. They are wearing button cameras provided by the channel. But there is no sign of Patel in the hotel.

•Monday 1.30 pm: An unnamed “contact” informs the three BJP MPs that SP MP Reoti Raman Singh would meet them at Ashok Argal’s residence at 4, Ferozeshah Road. The drawing room is fitted with bugging devices and the CNN team is listening in an ante-room. Reoti Raman Singh claims Amar Singh is the person who will finalise the deal.

•Tuesday 9 am: Argal and Kulaste go to Amar Singh’s house in Lodi Road. The MPs do not wear button cameras. They are filmed entering and exiting the house.

•Tuesday 2 pm: At 4, Ferozeshah Road, the three MPs get a visitor called Sanjeev Saxena who is allegedly carrying “advance” money for them. The hidden cameras are in place. In Saxena’s presence, the MPs remove the bundles to check the notes. After Saxena leaves, the CNN-IBN reporter interviews each MP. The serial numbers of the Rs 1,000 notes are filmed as proof that the cash delivered is the bundle taken to Parliament.

CNN IBN had an understanding with the ‘whistle blowers’ to air the tapes before ‘Trust Vote’ on that fateful day, Rajdeep did have a look on tapes (a fact he doesn’t deny but so evasively confirms in an interview to rediff.com

“Did you supervise the story?

My two reporters did the job. I may have had a look. Said Rajdeep.

As far as this your truly know or can ascertain, The Editor in Chief would have had no problem airing the tapes had the sting limited to BJP MPs accepting the bribe offered, but for new found ally and Ahmed Patel featuring in, He decided against it. :)

After all, Bharat Vibhushan was not rewarded for nothing! Time to pay back Rajdeep? We all know how awards are won, right from the horse’s mouth.

Rajdeep’s channel says, “We would like to reiterate that at CNN-IBN we remain committed to quality and independent journalism. Our commitment is to the truth. Truth that cannot be partial, inconclusive or sensational, but one that must adhere to exacting standards of fairness and accuracy. … […]

Wow! But for your so Nobel thoughts; Sweet Heart! J, who will judge what truth is? YOU, AMAR SINGH, MADAME or DADA? And how many times before your channel had assured all ‘that’ before airing all the ‘stings’ you did air so far?

Rajdeep, I have a nasty habit of reading ‘between the lines’. You are a busy and NOW too important a man, I won’t accuse you if you have forgotten what you said on June 26th, 2001 in a seminar.

(Reading between the lines… with my usual ‘Communal’ and biased yet true interpretations)

Rajdeep your own words…

Who is this ‘The Journalist’ Rajdeep Sardesai?

You say very too often, “Hamam Mein Sab Nange Hain”, Aree Bhai Aap Kahan Hain?

Rajdeep, simply telecast these tapes ‘unedited and uninfluenced’ with out a second delay lest it is confirmed, that you are all but what you claim to claim here,

“…we value our credibility and independence above all else… […]

It is not only you and CNN IBN whose credibility is at stake; it is of the entire media. Especially the always sermonizing, ‘holier than thou’ 24X7 channels. We have not forgotten how you guys played ‘havoc’ with the lives of Aarushi’s parents. We are in no mood to let you play that again with the very basic and fundamental principal of Democracy and to know what happened is our basic and fundamental right.

Telecast those tapes and let Billion Strong Prudent Indians judge. Period.

STOP PRESS: An Important update from Yossarin. Boycott CNN IBN

Update: Offstumped snubs Rajdeep.

CNN-IBN Boycott – Many Sins

Excellent post must read.

So what Mr. Sardesai is saying is that his channel is really about the same old intellecutual arrogance and elitism of the so called “progressive liberals” who think they know what is right for us and hence will sit in judgement on what ought to be dished out to as news and opinion and what ought not. [...]

Another Update: A convenient forgetfulness. Francois Gautier.

As kid, I and my elder sister used to fight a lot. Invariably it used to be my sister to file first complaint against me with Dad and I was scolded. Adding insult to injury, she used to show me thumb mocking and infuriating me further. The Headmaster of a school for scandal

BY M.J. AKBAR (Byline)

IN THE end it’s the jokes that get you, isn’t it? SMS, that deadly virus, has been spreading sound bites like “Sting is King”. Its first cousin, email, has been circulating emotional pleas to the heartless Finance Minister:

“Don’t you know how old MPs are? They have bad backs! Can’t you print Rs 100,000 notes instead of measly little thousand-rupee notes??? Do you know how heavy a sack of 30 crores is?” There are heart-rending stories of MPs breaking down because they did not know how to take their loot, collected in Delhi, back to the security of their small towns.

One email was untouched by levity and weighed by hurt and anger. Dr Manmohan Singh had repeated Guru Gobind Singh’s famous battle hymn, in which he asked the Lord to ensure that “shubh karman mein kabhu na darun [may I never be afraid to do right]” before the debate began. How could the Prime Minister have recited this just before he launched into unprecedented “dushkarman [misdeeds]“?

The Prime Minister won his battle in July. He may have lost the war that is only a few months away. He won the confidence of the House only to lose the trust of the nation.

Dr Manmohan Singh’s reputation for personal honesty was the last remaining undiluted asset of the Congress after four years of government. The voter did not ever believe his ministers to be clean. Some of them have established fresh records in corruption. But he was certain that the Prime Minister was an honest man. After the cash-for-votes-and-hide-the-tape scandal, Manmohan Singh is just another sullied politician, willing to feast on Grub Street in the company of the most famous bagmen, and travel the Gravy Train chatting with fixers and pushers in order to remain in office.

As the cash disbursers have proved, the Congress is full of calculators. It needed a mathematician. A strategist would have analysed the cost-benefit ratio and sabotaged the cash-and-carry operation on grounds of common sense. What has been won is nothing compared to what will be lost.

There is enough evidence that the voter punishes corruption and rewards probity. Leaders like Buddhadeb Bhattacharya, Naveen Patnaik, Nitish Kumar and Narendra Modi have won support because they are believed to be personally honest. It may not be the only reason for re-election, but it is a primary reason. The Congress had that advantage in the image of Dr Singh. That reputation has self-destructed.

Inflation had already weakened the voter’s confidence in Dr Singh’s abilities as an economist. His second asset was wiped off the books in July.

The Prime Minister cannot hold his nose above the stink anymore. He was personally involved in the purchase of MPs. He was visibly uncertain at his own dinner on the eve of the debate, despite the fact that Shibu Soren had already been bought in what should be called the real “1-2-3 Agreement”: the cash-stoked coal portfolio for Soren, deputy chief ministership of Jharkhand for his son, and a second ministerial berth for a party MP in Delhi. By Monday morning, the Prime Minister was smiling, and waving the V sign as he entered Parliament. Late at night he received word from his money-managers that enough MPs had switched, or been neutralised, to ensure a comfortable victory. Parliament had become a sleaze house, but so what? The mask of morality used to fool us for four years now lies in that great receptacle called the dustbin of history.

There is a problem when you tread on sleaze. You can slip on it, hurting yourself badly, even as your fall becomes the source of cynical laughter.

The Prime Minister’s face turned visibly ashen when three BJP MPs threw bundles of currency notes into the well of the House. For the nation, that was the turning point of the debate. They may or may not have understood the intricacies of the Hyde Act. But they did recognise the corruption that had been hidden.

Sections of the urban middle class which welcomed the idea of closer relations with America [you could call them the Green Card Party of India] felt utterly betrayed by a man they had trusted, and besmirched by corruption.

In the process, Dr Manmohan Singh has one remarkable achievement: he has united the Opposition. For the last three decades, this has been the most difficult act in Indian politics. The irony is that he subverted what Mrs Sonia Gandhi had woven in order to bring the Congress back to power: she had used the Gujarat riots to create a formidable coalition against the BJP. Dr Singh has destroyed that framework by breaking with the Left and turning the Congress into an irredeemably right-wing organisation, with a foreign policy to match its economic thrust. This turn to the right will change the character of the Congress irrevocably.

By opting for the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh, he has catapulted a dynamic agent of social change, Mayawati, into the leadership of the Third Front. Mayawati is the only regional leader with a national base, for she has a constituency in every constituency of India. She can lend Dalit support to an ally in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh as easily as in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Her candidates do not have to win; by contesting they slice enough Congress votes by ensure its defeat. It would have made more sense for the Congress to keep Mayawati as any ally, but that would need a leader who was a mathematician instead of a cash-broker. The Government is trying very hard to “prove” that Mayawati is corrupt. Mrs Sonia Gandhi and Dr Singh must be regretting deeply that they let her off in the Taj-corridor development case during those happy days when they were attempting a deal with her instead of Mulayam Singh. The important fact is that Mayawati’s voters are unimpressed by such accusations against their leader. She has empowered them and they are grateful to her.

Corruption is not a sudden swerve into perdition for the Congress: the first jeep scandal [an extremely innocuous, by today's standards, desire for vehicles] broke out before the first general election in 1952. But flexibility in election expenditure is one thing; the purchase of elected MPs at exorbitant rates quite another. Venality turned into a rot when PV Narasimha Rao purchased Shibu Soren and his MPs in order to save his minority Government. Dr Manmohan Singh was finance minister, and no one heard the mildest protest from him. Perhaps he thought that he could repeat what his guru Narasimha Rao had managed. What was it that Marx said? History repeats itself, first time as tragedy and the second time as farce. But Dr Singh does not read Marx.

Power seems to have changed Dr Singh’s character and temperament in crucial ways. Was it too much to expect some grace from him in this purchased victory? Instead, in his reply to the House he descended to the personal. That is not done.

But what is the point of expecting decorum when Parliament has been turned into a School for Scandal?

If ever there was any friend ‘worth’ his weight in suitcase of cash gold then it is Amar Singh. We all had been listening it ‘A friend in need is a friend indeed’ from the time we started to crawl. But very few understood it really and applied it. All those who applied it – list isn’t very long, at least, not yet – are celebrating today as Diwali, baki sab khali.

God is Great. BUT Amar Singh is GREATEST. He is Omniscient, Omni Present and of course at a ‘price’ this Omni Fixer is bountiful too.

‘A friend in need is a friend in deed’, in-fact; was only and only for to prove that Shri Amar Singh is here for the rescue of friends, and rescued them he did.

Kashat mein door Karoon Sab Ka, Aise Phenkoon Passa;

Apana Ullu tou Seedha ho; Tum log Bhi Dekho Tamasha’”

Bolo Shri Amar Singh Maharaj ke JAI!

Offstumped here and Retributions too failed to understand the importance of Shri Shri Amar Singh Ji Maharaj. Come on man! After all Amitabh, Anil Ambani, Suborto Sahara and of course Mulayam too are not his ‘friends’ for nothing! And when need arose, even for the rescue of the almighty ‘Balidaan Moorti’ Ma Sonia and Dr. Economist MMS, came Shri Shri Amar Singh Ji Maharaj.

Yada Yada Hi CPI(M) sya, Galai-ni Bharv-ita Sonia

I am Amar Bhakat from now on.

After all Amitabh, Anil Ambani could not have been wrong- incidentally, I too share my first allaphabate of name with Amar, Amitabh and Anil.

I am posting the unedited copy of the affidavit filed by Narrendra Modi,Chief Minister of Gujarat and a key contender for the post once again,as the Election process is on.

Your truly, had earlier pointed out to you how the “Main Stream Media” has unleashed all its might, against one man.In this post ‘suspected terrorists’ and in this another one ‘Frankly Speaking…’ I exposed the ‘conspiracy’ of the supposed to be a ‘secular,Liberal and Progressive’ media pundits.

Some people like Testa who have made ‘Modi Bashing’ as a full time career and a Javed Akhatar who gets selective pangs of ‘secularism’ – Please note, his heart did not melt when people (mostly Muslims) were butchered in Nandigram.!Because of this ‘Red Hands’ – rushed to EC and SC crying foul over Modi’s ‘alleged’ justification of Sohrabuddin’s encounter.

I Ask media if they are so interested in ‘liquidating’ Modi then why do they not come directly and fight against him electorally?

Since the day Modi filled his reply to the election commission, this same media has been ‘quoting’ and reporting very selectively.I believe that more than a lie it is the half truth or selective truth which is more dangerous. So here I publish the unedited copy of the affidavit.

Interestingly Congress has chosen to keep the affidavit a secrete -which they filled, after a notice was served to them only after Modi had submitted his reply on Dec.8th for a notice served for a comment he is ‘alleged’ to have made on Dec.6th while the notice to Sonia was served on 8th.Dec for the comment she made on Ist.Dec (Well, well Well!!)

Would Congress make their affidavit public? If yes then when? And if not, then why? What is that they are hiding?

Prudent Indian.

Unedited copy of the affidavit by the Gujarat Chief Minister to the notice sent by the Election Commission:

8th December 2007.

From:
Narendra D. Modi
Gandhinagar.

To
The Election Commission of India
Nirvachan Sadan,
Ashoka Road,
New Delhi.110001.

Subject: Your Notice dated 6th December 2007 to Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister, Gujarat State.

Sir,

I am in receipt of your notice dated 6th December 2007 wherein on the basis of the media reports and a complaint dated 5th December 2007 filed by Teesta Setalvad, I am alleged to have made an open exhortation to violence and misused of religion for political ends. The Election Commission has further stated that by linking the name of Sohrabuddin to terrorism in my speech amounts to indulging in activity which may aggravate existing differences, creating mutual hatred and causing tension between different communities .I deny this charge in its entirety.

1. The Commission has acted on the basis of a complaint which alleges that my stand is contrary to what the State of Gujarat has stated in its affidavit before the Supreme Court. The basis of the complaint appears to be a report dated 5th December 2007 of the Times of India by one Shri Prashant Dayal. The relevant extract in the Times of India reads as under:

Modi…….you tell what should be done to Sohrabuddin?
People at the rally: Kill him, kill him.
Modi: Well, that is what I did. And I did what was necessary.”

The last sentence of the report of the Times of India has generated controversy in the whole nation. Television Channels and News Papers have made comments to the effect that I have stated that ‘Sohrabuddin got what he deserved’, or that ‘it is a confessional statement by me’ or that ‘Modi has justified a murder’. All other news papers cuttings which the Commission has taken into account are dated 6th December 2007, which do not report my speech delivered on 4th December, 2007 but are comments inspired by false imputation in the Times of India. This last sentence is not reflected in the CD as having been used by me.

2. ‘The Statesman’ dated 6th December 2007 quoted me as having said –
“he (Sohrabuddin) has got what he deserved”: The Hindustan Times of 6th December quoted me as saying “Well then, that’s it.” I had on 6th December 2007, immediately after receiving Election Commission’s notice requested that I may be supplied copy of the CD of the speech and also various inputs which have influenced the issuance of the notice. I have since received the copy of CD on the evening of 7th December 2007 at 5.45 p.m. I find none of the above statements are contained in my speech as recorded in the CD. The .E.C. notice is issued on the basis of unverified and false media reports.

3 As I am also involved in a campaign I am sending this as a preliminary reply, which I am sure would satisfy the Election Commission with regard to the contents of my speech. Before I answer specifics raised in the notice and the complaint, I wish to state that India is governed by Rule of law and Constitution. I am entitled to my right of free speech. Free and fair election involves a debate on the political issues in the market place of politics. When statements are made by political opponents, others are entitled to reply to them. The tone and content of the statement must necessarily adhere to the Model Code of Conduct. I wish to categorically state that I regard the Election Commission as a constitutional authority under an obligation to ensure free and fair election which will also defend my right of free speech against those who have started hate campaign against me.

4. On 1st December 2007, AICC President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi visited Gujarat and referred to me by suggesting those who are ruling Gujarat are “liars, dishonest and merchants of fear and death (Maut-ke-Soudagar).” On 3rd December 2007, AICC General Secretary Mr. Digvijay Singh visited Gujarat and referred to it as a State which has unleashed “Hindu terrorism.” The newspapers reported these statements extensively. Separate complaints with regard to the violation of the Code of Conduct were sent to the Election Commission by the Gujarat Unit of BJP. No action has been taken against those responsible for these statements by the Election Commission. I am sure the Election Commission would at least now proceed to take action on those reports.

5. One of the critical issues in our country is the problem of terrorism. India has lost the lives almost 90,000 of innocent citizens and security personnel in the last 17 years to terror. In the last four years, 5,619 innocents have been killed by the terrorist. The Government of Gujarat has a strong policy against terrorism. I believe that UPA and Congress party is indulging in Vote Bank politics and have sent soft signals on terrorism. My party and I have repeatedly made these charges against the Congress Party. In Gujarat only one life has been lost in the last four years through terror. This is a result of our strong policy against terrorism. The Nation and the people of Gujarat are entitled to witness a fair debate on terrorism. If any of the view point is censored or not permitted it will be interference in the right of free speech. Our Constitution and the election commission’s obligation to conduct free and fair election will not extend to preventing me from expressing my strong views against terrorism..

6 My speech, therefore, has to be read entirely in this context. It was a political response to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi referring to me as those who rule the Gujarat as a ‘Mout-ke-saudagar’. Surely it cannot be policy of the Election commission first to ignore the violation of the Code of Conduct in her statement and then censor my political response to that statement. I have gone through my speech on the CD supplied. It is merely a response to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi calling me “Mout-ka-Saudagar”.

7. This part of my speech was entirely against terrorism. I criticized the Congress President for calling me a ‘Maut Ka Saudagar´. I responded that the “Maut Ka Saudagar” are all those who attacked parliament It is the Congress party which is delaying the execution of the guilty accused. I have made a reference to the Sohrabuddin’s case and mentioned the allegations against him. I have accused the Congress of suggesting that I have engineered a fake encounter. I said that I am open for any action on this count. At no point of time I have either justified the specific encounter of Sohrabuddin’s case, nor have I used the specific inculpatery sentences used in the Times of India Report. It is clear that my comment is a part of my speech where on several occasions I have put questions to the audience which the audience has answered. It is my political response to Smt. Gandhi’s allegation that I am Maut-ka-Sodagar. I have replied back alleging that the Congress party is helping those who have spread terrorism in the country. It is clear that Times of India’s article which began this controversy, invented my comment to the effect “Modi: Well that is what I did. And I did what was necessary”. The CD clearly indicates that this sentence was an invention of author and not the orator. The comments in the media that ‘Modi justified murder’ or that ‘he made confessional statement’ as being privy to murder or that Modi declared in the meeting that ‘Sohrabuddin got what he deserved’ do not find a mention in the CD.These are journalistic inventions intended to engineer a ‘Hate Modi’ campaign and not evidenced in the CD supplied by the Election Commission. My criticism in the media was concocted and engineered by this ‘Hate Modi’ Campaign. No where in my speech have I explicitly referred to the religion of any person. I have spoken against terrorism. It is not my speech but the complaint which assumes terrorism is linked to a religion.

8 Am I to be prevented from giving my point that terrorism will not be allowed on the soil of Gujarat or that Congress is soft on the terrors and thereby helping “Maut-ka-Sodagar” If Election Commission imposes any such regulation, it would offend our constitutional values and my right of free speech. At no stage I have controverted the affidavit filed by the Gujarat Government in the Supreme Court of India. I have already clarified my position that I do not support fake encounters. Encounters can occur but there should be no fake encounters. I have nowhere tried to prejudice any pending litigation. I am fully committed to the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct by the Election Commission and shall comply with it. I believe that the Election Commission should not be misled by motivated media reports which are based on falsehood.

I, therefore, request the Election Commission to withdraw this notice.

(Narendra Modi)

It is Just Politics ‘Stupid’! Mody, Modi & Parzania.

Mr.Dara Mody.My heart too cries with you Mr.Dara Mody, just as we cry with parents of those hapless children too who were ‘butchered at Nithari’. Much as you feel this aIf evergony any parent or I too, do. I can sympathize, moving beyond, as I already did, pledge my ‘unconditional support and all out efforts to find your son, Azhar’. Trust me.

Modi., a person is so much “Loved to be Hated” is a man called Narendera Modi.An ‘elected’ chief minister of Gujarat. A state that has been among the most prosperous and well managed state under his stewardship. This is not my assessment but as confirmed by the one of the ‘Secular and Liberal’ editor in chief. Another ‘torch bearer’ of secularism vouches for it too though on page no.15, lest the Madame gets offended. The state, led by Modi, an elected Chief Minister is appreciated for its growth and even his ‘harshest’ critics appreciate ‘him’ for attracting investment, though they ‘lament it too’. Why, even the industrialists praising Modi is lamented? Read this, Fifteen minutes of infamy. Why is it so that no opportunity is ever missed by the ‘secular, liberal and progressive media’ and other foot soldiers of ‘secularism’ to vilify Modi in particular and Gujaratis in general? What is wrong? Where? And of course Why?

Wrong? Because, He is Narrendera Modi. A BJP Chief Minister! Elected by the people of state. Their objection/ruse is how dare a BJP Chief Minister or NDA ruled states could be better than the “secular parties” ruled states, even by the rules and standards of Congress?

Where?Since it is Gujarat we are talking about and that is what makes it for ‘Headlines’ for all the right or wrong reasons. A state which has been branded by the ‘secularists’, for all the time to come, as a fascist regime because of “Genocide, Massacre, Where ‘minorities’ were Butchered” all this just because… JUST BECAUSE? 59 Fanatic ‘Ram Bhakats’ lost/died, in the Sabarmati train tragedy. TRAGEDY ?? [sic.]

Why?Because, Bashing Modi is an industry. It has its own ecomomics, rewards and awards. The more louder, often rhetoric against Modi the more secular you become. Once you start ‘bad mouthing’ Modi for all the ills anywhere in the world, then open a shop they call it NGO and lo and behold the doors for unaccounted foreign funds are opened. End less seminars, rounds of Big Fights and We the people, hours and hours of prime time on 24×7 channels and one Sunny Republic Day you find your name on the Padma Bhushan awards list. Remember? Teesta Setalwad? She has ‘managed’ one this year. Aren’t these reasons enough for the question WHY?

Finally ‘Parzania’.I, as such have just heard about the movie and nothing much. Therefore shall not comment upon the movie. “Parzania” is ‘ostensibly’ a movie based upon the real story of a young boy lost in the aftermaths of communal riots that followed after the ‘actual’ “torching” of Sabharmati Express at Godhara station. Mind it, it is my ‘communal’ interpretation of events, as they actually happened, much to chagrin of ‘secularists’ who want us to believe it otherwise. Secular Brigade willing they would change the sequence of events i.e. Godhara followed after Genocide of Muslims in 2002 in Narrendera Modi’s Gujarat. Just as the editor in chief believe. However since this issue has already been debated, let us move to another issue,

Controversy around “Parzania”.Since there was none, and it did not ‘suit’ the agenda of ‘secularists’ so they ‘created’ one. Hey! Now What? Since there are no more sticks left (as far as economic indicators suggest and the relative communal calm) to beat the ‘bush’ (read Modi) all the ‘secularists and liberals’ have taken upon themselves to promote the cause of ‘Parzania’. At times I suspect and – proven right too, that these ‘secularists’ interests lie in keeping the ‘communal cauldron’ boiling for as long as possible. At least long enough till most of them ‘manage’ some Padma Bhushan awards from a ‘secular’ government or their own ‘political’ agendas and ambitions are met with. BUT, as many of you will agree with that ‘they’ have some more sinister designs than what is visible.

The ‘movie’, which has been in news, is because it has been released, but Gujarat Exhibitors have not shown any enthusiasm to exhibit the movie. And this is what our ‘secularists’ friends can’t digest or so it seems. Why they have refused to screen the movie is ‘bone of contention’. ‘Secularists’ allege that exhibitors are threatened by the BJP govt. and are scared of inviting the wrath of ‘saffron goons’, though no particular incident is ever mentioned any where yet a ‘motive’ is being imputed for exhibitors not ‘screening’ it!If the threat part is true then why do the Producer and ‘Secularists’ not go to the Court? Just as they did in the case of ‘Fana’. But till date neither the Producer/Director/Crew of “Movie” nor the ‘secularists’ has approached any Court, and it amply proves the point – I am trying to make – the charges hurled at, are baseless.

All these ‘worthies’ who are making such a hue and cry, know the fact that the Gujarat Government has NOT banned the film, very unlike the Congress Ruled State Governments banning, YES! Officially banning Da-Vinchi-Code here, here, here, here and here too. Despite the Super censor Priya Ranjan Dass Munshi clearing it first (another precedent set up by this Football Manager) with a rider, even after Censor board had cleared the movie and Courts rejecting the plea to ban the movie. And why was the Da-Vinchi-Code banned? Because of this! Or Madame Sonia Gandhi being a Christian needed to be ‘humored’?

All the secular and liberal, free speech advocates please answer the above questions. Any ‘eminent’ Ladies and Gentlemen, any of you? Any?

The one reason, which seems very reasonable, could be sound ‘financial assessment’, at the part of exhibitors, after all my Gujarati sisters and brothers are famous for their business acumen, world over.

My TakeAs always these ‘secularists’ have exposed themselves for what they really are.

1.Why no ‘secular’24×7 channel has till date shown the picture of Azhar Mody? Would it not have been more helpful for Mr.Dara and his well wishers to track Azhar?

2.Has any ‘secular’ newspaper published the picture of the boy?

As far as I know I have not seen any photograph any where except the long winding articles be ‘secularists’, if any reader has seen the photograph then send me the link I will pursue all my other friends to publish it so we could help trace the boy.

But then again, it is just politics “Stupid”!

Prudent Indian.

Hi! Friends, Welcome back.

Let me begin with thanking you all for reading my ‘sick’ blog time and again. Today Feb.2nd.2007 happens to be the ‘second’ anniversary since the first attempt I made to air my “communal and rabid” views in this wonderful world called Internet. I admire the ‘guts’ and ‘patience’ of my readers/friends/critics for ‘tolerating’ all the ‘bullshit’ dished out time and again by this ‘communal’ blogger. Thanks Once Again!

BUT, the fault is not entirely mine, you know? YOUR Dear Mr.Priya Ranjan Dass Munshi, Minister Information and Broadcasting, had done a wonderful job by ‘BANNING’ this blogger too with ‘hundred’ others thus saving you from the ‘communal and rabid forces’. BUT please blame “those” people” who made “us” to defy the ban and blog anyway.

From today onwards, every now and then, I shall read the “Secular, Liberal and Progressive” Editors and share with you all, BUT the way I read them: Between The Lines.

(My rabid interruptions are, as usual in communal color)

Regards,

Part I

Beyond The Byte

Rajdeep Sardesai‘Vibrant’ Gujarat is an economic success. But its social fabric is in tatters.

Modi, Mody & Co.

There are two Mr Modis I know in Gujarat. One spells his surname with an ‘i’, the other with a ‘y’. Narendra Modi is a familiar household name. He is the Chief Minister (an ‘Elected’ one Sir, not a ‘selected’ one unlike our PM) of a ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ (Even the Statistics prove that), his political constituency’s ‘Hindu Hriday Samrat’ (much to the chagrin of ‘secular’ forces) and the BJP’s man-in-waiting (NO DOUBT). After more than five years in power, he is the unquestioned leader of the Gujarat BJP and easily the most popular political figure in the state today. In the last five years, he has won (UNLIKE as Congress WON?) every election in the state with a comfortable majority, from panchayat polls to a two-thirds victory in the assembly elections. His face adorns hoardings across the state and his supporters and well-oiled propaganda machine have anointed him Gujarat’s modern-day sardar (Now! Here the ‘Secularist’ takes precedence over a journalist…well-oiled..Read RSS). Truly, in the last five years, Narendra Modi has been catapulted from a relatively faceless RSS pracharak to becoming a larger-than-life figure within the Hindutva (?) pantheon. But this article is not meant to be about the Modi you know (There goes the ‘WELL OILED SECULARIST PROPOGANDA MACHINE’ AGAIN [sic]…the Modi You know….). Let me introduce you to another Mr Mody from Gujarat, the one who spells his surname with a ‘y’. It’s unlikely you’ve ever met, or heard of, Dara Mody. In his early 40s, Dara Mody is the typical anonymous Indian. He works in the Gujarat government’s Science City in an Ahmedabad suburb as a projectionist in an Imax theatre. Driving around in his two-wheeler across the city, he is a God-fearing Parsi, soft-spoken and rather shy. Television cameras are unlikely to follow him, no one will chant his name (and so you too never did) and he hasn’t ever appeared on a hoarding. He is very different from the other Mr Modi, and yet the fate of the two men are strangely linked. (Even if they were not linked, I have no doubt that you will link them)For the last five years, while Narendrabhai has been winning election after election (Again! Is this a disqualification dear Mr.Sardesai?) and building an ever-rising personality cult (Just look who is talking? Personality Cult…Mr.Rajdeep?!What have you people been doing by projecting BaliDaan Devi ..Oops..Madame Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi…Oops …sorry again..Mrs.Sonia Gandhi!?), Dara Mody has been roaming the streets of Ahmedabad and its police stations in search of his son. Dara’s 14-year-old son, Azhar, went missing on February 28, 2002, the day the post-Godhra (POST GODHARA?! What about GODHARA?) violence tore apart parts of Gujarat. It was a defining day in the lives of both the Modi(y)s. While the violence transformed Narendra Modi into a modern-day hero (Vibrant Gujarat, You said it Sir!) of hatred and a ‘saviour’ of Hindus, Dara Mody’s humdrum middle-class life was shattered irrevocably.Dara lived in Ahmedabad’s Gulberg society. When he left for work at 9 am that February day, he could have scarcely imagined how his little world would be changed forever. Gulberg was the scene of one of the worst massacres (Massacres? Or Riots? What do you call 1984?Anti Sikh RIOTS. Right?) of the 2002 Gujarat riots, where more than 49 people were butchered (butchered?  What had happened at Godhara?) (there is no other word that can be used to express the savagery) to death. Among them was the former Congress MP, Ehsaan Jaffrey. Dara’s teenaged son, Azhar, was with his mother, Rupa, and sister, Binaifer, when the mob attacked Gulberg. A frightened Rupa held on to her two children (Eye Witness Account!), desperately telling the attackers that she was a Parsi and not a Muslim (Oh…ho! Look at the ‘EMPHASIS’…she was a Parsi and not a Muslim). Her son was snatched away, never to be found. She and her now 13-year-old daughter have lived to tell the tale of horror and bestiality. While Narendrabhai has thousands of supporters cheering him on, Dara has his distraught wife and  shell-shocked daughter for company. What binds Dara’s family together is their search for their lost son, his memories captured in a fading photo album, including the last image of Azhar in his school uniform, proudly holding the tricolour. In the last five years, Dara, like the other families in Gulberg society, has been unable to return home. Their three-room house is still locked, a portrait of Zarathustra and a wall calendar with a February 2002 dateline the only reminders of what was once a happy, innocent little world. Time has stood still in Gulberg, a burst of bougainvillea in the central garden the only sign of life in an abandoned neighbourhood. Not one person has been convicted for the Gulberg massacre, and Dara can’t hope to return to his home for fear that the killers may be roaming on the streets outside the colony.(Let me be ‘Honest’ to say that, I share the grief of Mr.Mody’s family and indeed feel sorry for their plight. I pledge my unconditional support for whatever little I can do for them. NEITHER it is my intention to poke fun. My only ‘objective’ is to expose and read between the lines, comments/intentions that are ‘there’ but not ‘visible’.)[The above para is very moving and stirs the ‘right’ emotions, how I wish Mr. Sardesai had written the same way for 59,innoncent Women, Men and Children, roasted alive in Sabarmati Express at Godhara.]Till a few weeks ago, Dara’s story was just another statistic on the bloody map of Gujarat 2002, (Mr.Sardesai does not say anything about the ‘riots’ that took place before 2002,mind it was Congress chief Ministers then) a map that includes both those who lost (LOST…Pregnant with so many theories..Including mass suicide as ‘parroted’ by Justice Banerjee commission) their loved ones in the Sabarmati train tragedy (Just see the difference Godhara Is a TRAGEDY and GULBERGA was MASSACRE) and those who suffered in the riots. At least the families of those who died  (died?) in the Sabarmati blaze have the comfort of knowing that the alleged perpetrators have been arrested under Pota (BUT Did you not oppose POTA and urged the ‘Secular Government’ to repeal? Which they DID, FIRST THING when THEY WON!) and are awaiting sentencing. By sharp contrast, there has not been a single conviction in any of the major riots cases. Ask Dara what he feels today, and the eyes become moist. “How can I feel anything when I have lost my teenaged son,” he says, without, remarkably, any trace of rancor (He might not have genuinely). And then, with a hint of a smile, he reminds you, “I work for the government in Science City. How can I say anything about my employers!”  (Since he might not have ‘RANCOR’ genuinely, so impute one. Smart wordsmith!)Now, Dara’s story is the subject of  a major movie, Parzania (So! Now! We know why all this, Mr.Sardesai is Promoting a film. Well! Nothing wrong with that. BUT, by an Editor?), a film that has already won critical acclaim  across the world, but is unlikely (unlikely, right I agree but mind you it has not been banned like Da-Vinchi-Code in Congress ruled states) to be screened in Gujarat itself. Why should we have to revive the ghosts of 2002, Gujarat has moved on, runs the argument. On the face of it, Gujarat has indeed moved on. The state ranks second today in terms of new investments — proof, say Modi’s fan club, that Gujarat’s entrepreneurial spirit has triumphed over the scars of violence. The ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ conclave — the showpiece of the Modi government — has been seen as a resounding success, with 363 MoUs being signed, and investments worth thousands of crores being promised. With the entire weight of India Inc — from Ratan Tata to Mukesh Ambani — lining up behind the Chief Minister, Gujarat’s pariah status is gone. Five years ago, CII and several corporates had questioned the Modi government’s handling of the riots. Today, virtually every business house is extolling the virtues of the Chief Minister, widely seen as being non-corrupt and administratively efficient ((Come On Man! Give him his due). In a state where the Opposition is feeble, and where previous chief ministers (Congress chief Ministers and Turncoats like Vaghela?) have been seen as either corrupt or ineffectual, Modi stands out as someone who has brought a muscular energy and a reputation for financial probity to the CM’s office. Why then should pesky ‘secularist crusaders’ spoil the party by repeatedly raising the ghosts of the 2002 violence? Why should human rights activists from outside Gujarat hold public hearings in the state to find out about missing persons? Why should only the stories of grieving families of the riots cases be told? Why not make a film on the Panchal family, whose four members died in the Godhra train burning? (All right! So many Whys, but the answer is one and simple: Because of “Secular Brigades” vested interests. ‘Secularism’ is an industry worth millions of Rs.This industry churns out ‘activists’ who get Padma Awards by the ‘secular’ governments. Remember Teesta Stelwad? She too has ‘begged’ one this year).  And why give so much attention to Dara Mody, when the real hero of Gujarat is perhaps the other Modi? Unfortunately, those who ask these questions fail to answer certain more basic questions: how can the quest for individual and collective justice be seen in narrow, partisan terms? How can the political ascent of an ideology be used to sweep aside the human dimension of a tragedy? Can a state’s success be measured only in terms of monetary investments? What about the social fabric that remains badly ruptured? Is the shining present good enough to sweep aside the darkened recent past?(If I am right then Mr.Rajdeep, Bihar was a shining example of ‘communal Harmony’, YET no body ‘dared’ to go to Bihar. Ask any Bihari, and you find so many of them at all the places working ‘honestly’ and earning a respectable living hood except in their own ‘communally harmonious state’. As for Gujarat, even the ‘secular brigade’ is allowed to roam freely)Perhaps, some answers can be found if the two Modi(y)s meet. Maybe, Narendrabhai may wish to consider placing his arm around Darabhai’s shoulder, maybe he might find the time to share Dara’s grief, maybe he could even consider doing something as simple as saying sorry to the Mody couple. It is not just communal hatred that divides Gujarat even today. It is the absence of a sense of remorse or compassion (remorse or compassion, indeed! And for Godhara Victims?). In the long run, this cannot be the recipe for a ‘Vibrant Gujarat’. (Whatever you mean, this sounds as a ‘threat’ Mr.Rajdeep) Rajdeep Sardesai is Editor-in-Chief, CNN IBN and IBN 7
