BJP under Narrender Modi in Gujarat has wrested five seats from the ‘Secular Congress’ in bye-poll held on Sept, 10th 2009. In Gujarat, the BJP wrested Jasdan, Chotila, Dehgam, Danta and Sami-Hariz from Congress while it lost Kodinar to the Congress which managed to retain Dhoraji alone.
BJP also has won one each in Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
These results are significant for two reasons at least…
- The media’s immoderate reportage, off-late, of whatever good or bad was happening inside the BJP, had reached to the nauseating crescendo. Media had almost written off BJP and anybody who is any damn body in MSM, had penned down the ‘obituary’ of the party.
- The ‘Secular Congress’ and its ‘dirty tricks department’ choreographed a ‘magisterial’ report and ‘henchmen’ in Media lapped it up and splashed it all over on the eve of Bye-Election. Only to ensure Modi’s defeat by consolditing the ‘secular vote bank’ behind the Congress – as always. Only for their (MSM) pursuit of winning/securing favors from the ‘reigning queen’ of 10 Janpath.
But then, people of Gujarat and MP and Uttrakhand are wiser than these ‘media henchmen’ of Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi. People have voted and pronounced their verdict. Possibly, the chosen mandarin this time could not manage the BYE-Elections ‘as truthfully’ as he did during elections for Lok Sabha 2009.
As results were declared this afternoon (Sept, 14th, 2009) I am hardly surprised to see a complete mum on 24X7 Channels as if the ‘Cat has got their tongues’! Imagine: just incase the results were reversed in favor of Sonia ‘Mata’s Secular Congress!
Lucky for them (MSM), Sachin and Dhoni have – by scoring a century and half century respectively- given them (MSM) a face saver and an excuse to hide their shamed face.
24X7 ‘maudlin reporters’ are ‘NOW’ busy discussing ODI being played at Sri Lanka.
BTW, it would be really interesting to see what the Padamshri Barkha Didi, Padamshri Rajdeep Bhaiya and other ‘Padam’ awardees in MSM (including print media man too) answer and mollify Madame Sonia for their (MSM) collective failure in ‘maligning Modi Campaign’ on eve of By-Election this time, and as a policy 24 hours 365 days of year.
Padam Awarded Editors/Managing Editors/Editors in Chief etc and those ‘aspiring’ ones too have a lesson to learn from this: perfidy of yours was too well known to voting ‘prudent voters’ and they are the ones who matter.
Period.
As for you Padam Bhushans/Shris of MSM, here one of you ‘Padamshri’ Shri Shri Rajdeep had said I quote him with my comments in ‘saffron’ (communal color?).
So be it.

Another reason for the problem is the changing self-image of the journalist, and his role in a democratic system. For a long time the journalist’s role was seen to be that of an independent observer of events. But observation alone can be rather tedious and not very financially productive either. So, over the years, the journalist has chosen to move from the margins of the fourth estate to being firmly on the centre stage, closer to the first estate (read first family Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi’). Ideological corruption is as much a part in this process as anything else. A journalist can get close to a political party (read Congress), business house (read Reliance Anil Ambani Group (update: then in 2001 now it is Mukesh as Madame wishes) or an individual (read Guru Amar Singh (update: he too is discarded after this)) in a manner that compromises his (read the journalists) independence (simply put: paid and paid for the job to do for ‘Madame’). Having acquired that proximity (with Congress and the Maino family), the journalist can then use his clout on a larger scale, playing kingmaker (as he DID) in cementing political alliances (By STILL not telecasting tapes) at the centre or in providing the (Help winning the political and/ or pay masters) link between a minister in the Union cabinet (?) and a business house (we all know, who.) in need of a favor. (Yes, do tell us please, is to serve the greatest cause of saving Hindustan from Communal forces?!)
Sonia ‘Maino’ Gandhi ‘owned’ congress is just a political ‘front’ for forces unseen, it is ‘perfidious MSM’ who have been playing games (for lucre and fame or may be what else sinister agenda they have and is not disclosed as yet) but ‘detrimental’ to Hindus and Bharat. Modi has given them a befitting reply and I pray: ‘let the Modi tribe grow’.
Modi’s win is a tight slap on not Congress’s face alone; but on ‘perfidious media’ and 24X7 sec-soc channels too, sorry we can not distinguish between you two.
24×7 and Padamshris, will you please, ‘Shut Up’ Now?
PI.
superb superb writing PI. I m a great fan of your writing. Pls write more. On any given day, i would prefer to start my day reading your blog than reading biased newspapers.
And also, CNN-IBN and other media houses were busy in highlighting that Rahul gandhi and Sonia maino gandhi were travelling in shatabdi trains. They have no face to show now when Modi has won hands down. Namo Narendra Modi!!!!!!!
Someones really happy..
congrats
I want to see BJP winning not only in Gujarat but in all states.
This was really a great news. If Performance is all that matters – then Modi has shown them what he is.
This is also a great news for greater India. It may prove that people are realising that they did a mistake by gifting the center to the UPA/Congress indirectly. Let BJP consolidate.
This also showed how the assembly election results were NOT impacted by the political drama that Jaswant Singh episode was making us see through.
People are becoming prudent
Good News.
Will ever NDTV (Nehru Dynasty TV) will shut his mouth barking against Hindus?
Oh where is burkha dutt, now?
I’m not ardent follower of Congress nor I’m a hardcore loyalist to BJP. All I can say is I’m a true indian.
However cognizance of the politco game ( facts and figures) allows me to maintain the statement – Next Time mai BJP ko vote karunga. I have no discomfort in reiterating the fact that In congress regime we the people have witnessed maximum num of terrorist attacks and riots. ( and will witness, god forbid).
Well on a professional stay at Gujarat for 3 months while the elections were about to come ( State elections). I cudnt reluct myself asking about the opinion about THE GOD Narendra Modi. If I’m not mistaken I visited 5 districts and have asked 60-70 Gujratis about thier take on Mr. Developer Modi.
Intrestingly, the 60 people have a single thing in common. Thier adulations for Mr. Modi and sum statements like
1) Bhai, Gujarat maane Narender Modi.
2) Narender Bhai will come, yaar. No doubt in that.
3) No Patel, No shah. Only Modi.
4) Narender Bhai modi lives in our heart.
Such adulation for a politician is a testimonial of his achievements and his contribution to his state.
Also I asked about the Advani, Arun Jaitly, et al.
Not even a single person commented in the favor of Advani. Then how can such a person be our PM. If the people of BJP dominated state can say – Mahare Gujarat Ma Modi.. Mahare country ma MMS.
Now, where’s the BJP lacking on the lok sabha level?
The answer is : The face value.
Take the examples of Delhi Election where Malhotra lost over to Dixit. Had it been Mr. Khurana as the person at the top, the chances of BJP taking over Delhi state election would have increased.
Anyway, I’m not a strategist. May be am wrong or perhaps correct.
With a rapidly exploding Muslim population in India and vice versa a rapidly ageing Hindu population, Narendra Modi remains the only hope for BJP and Hindus in general.
While Hindus are marrying less, focusing on Career more and having fewer kids (Max of 2) , Muslims on the other hand are having more and more kids to accomplish their eventual goal of a Muslim majority within India.
The present 160 Million + Muslims in India is not the immediate priority.
The Immediate priority for BJP is
a. to set their house in order
b. Bring in Narendra Modi as their Leader.
c. After coming to power, immediately implement uniform Civil code across ALL RELIGIONS to LIMIT THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN TO 2 ONLY.
That is the only way to save Hinduism.
I completely buy your statement, Saurav. I’m in a complete agreement with you on this.
