I have vivid memories of my Late Nana narrating many amusing and interesting ‘ballads’ and stories. Besides Panchtantra a ‘ballad’ written by Bharatendu Harishchandra was our favorites two. Many of you would immediately recall the name of ‘Ballad’ if not by author’s name: Andheri Nagari Chaupat Raja. 
“Andheri Nagari Chaupat Raja”, which roughly translates “Dark is the nation and insane the King”. With due apologies in advance .

Then, we used to just listen all this and laugh; never realizing that a day will come when this ‘ballad’ will be ‘really’ played out so brazenly in the great Nation called Bharat. Never did even in our wildest imaginations we thought it could be a case when we would have a PM like “Chaupat Raja” and Bharat will become “Andher Nagari”. No. Never ever we imagined this.
I am reminded of ‘Andheri Nagari Chaupat Raja’ every time I hear Sonia Maino appointed Prime Minister Minion hailed as “Singh is King” by fellow Men/Women/Babas and Babe Minions. Inadvertently “Andheri Nagari Chaupat Raja, Taka Ser Bhaji; Taka Ser Khaja” starts playing in the back of my mind than the original sound track of film’s song, nevertheless I do not chuckle, I feel sad. Extremely sad and many a times get angry too.
You’re truly, respects the intelligence of esteemed readers and therefore shall not insult by ‘daring to elaborate’ any further why this King is Chaupat Raja and/or why/how the great nation Bharat has been reduced to “Andher Nagari” by one single word called “SECULARISM”.
