Last year in April I wrote, “…Politics and politicians, never fail to ‘entertain’ the general public. In this never ending race of, who is a bigger joker, another one joins.” I did not know then, these words would be more meaningful in just over a period of 16 months!
Just look around and you find many ‘Jokers’. But with slight difference though. These Jokers are of very special variety. They entertain us but at the cost of ‘We the People of India’ the Billion Strong Nation. These Jokers, like the jokers in a card game, can be used wherever, whenever without any compunction. How ever, these ‘Special Jokers’ unlike Card Game Jokers, demand and extort huge ransoms in cash or kind (mostly outrageous and some times simply silly).
Well… we are witnessing some real show these days. Many deals are being struck in the Posh Lutteyn’s New Delhi Bungalows, some are known to public but those are just the tips of iceberg, many many are being struck away from the glare of Public.
All these political prostitution repositioning leave a bad taste in mouth and you wonder what would happen to the great country?
Reading Sandeep yesterday, I read him wondering here, “And what is Rahul Gandhi’s place in the grand scheme of things?” .
Luckily, I had just downloaded a video then which aptly answered Sandeep. So I sent him a link.
