I am shocked to see this report as published in the ‘The Indian Express’, Delhi edition, dated today May 22nd. 2008
I am reproducing the report with a ‘serious’ objection to the statement made by Mr. Arjun Singh a Senior Cabinet Minister in the present govt, headed by Dr. ManMohan Singh.
Kindly read this carefully with the special attention to the part of statement highlighted.

LUCKNOW, MAY 21 : Reiterating his commitment and loyalty to the Gandhi family and the Congress party, Human Resources Development Destruction Minister Arjun Singh on Wednesday said Sonia Gandhi and son Rahul have been able to fill the vacuum created by the death of Rajiv Gandhi.
Addressing a function organised by the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee here to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, Singh said: “Rajiv Gandhi was an exceptional persons and he contributed a lot for the empowerment of the weaker section of our society. His death had created a vacuum. Fortunately, Sonia and Rahul have filled that vacuum.”
“Only a person who is totally committed to the nation can make an attempt like Rajiv Gandhi did to bring murderers of his mother into the mainstream,” said the HRD minister. Rajiv always took up the cause of weaker sections of society and this resulted in increased representation of women in the Panchayati Raj system, he added.
Trashing reports that the Congress lacked support within the UPA on the quota issue for the backwards, Singh said the legislation received the Cabinet’s full support and was passed unanimously in Parliament.
Mr. Arjun Singh in his zeal to prove self as the most sincerest of all loyalists to the Sonia and Rahul has inadvertently (or knowing his wily fox personality, willingly) has admitted to the fact that Congress and its goons held all Sikhs responsible for the assassination of Indira Gandhi.
Reread the highlighted part.
This current Cabinet Minister implies, unequivocally that all “SIKHS were Murderers of Indira Gandhi”, but Rajiv brought them in to ‘mainstream’! Sic!
Arjun Singh implies, that since ‘all SIKHS’ were responsible, hence he indirectly though, yet ‘justifies’ the Massacre of over 3000 Sikhs by the Congress Goons on the streets in Nov. 1984!
He implies, that since the “massacre of Sikhs” is justified hence why punish those who dutifully orchestrated the ‘blood soaked orgy’ on the streets by dragging Sikhs out from their houses ;drenching them with Petrol and setting them on fire!
Let me remind you friends, two of the three accused of shooting down Indira; who were found guilty, were awarded death sentence by the Honorable Supreme Court and the sentence have long been executed.
By no stretch of any logic, jurisprudence or/and law of natural justice ‘implicate’ the whole community for the act of few. The same applies to Muslims too – and all the ‘Secularists’ remind this to us again and again – despite the fact that, most of the terrorists are ‘Muslims’ or they carry Muslim sounding names – at least.
What happened on Oct 30th. 1984 and after wards?
Two Sikh bodyguards killed Indira Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India on Oct 30th,1984.
“Khoon Ka Badla Khoon Se Lenge” was the order of day. On the DD, all and any could easily hear these shouts, inciting (or imploring) those day’s Congress Men/Women/Babas and Babes.
Identifying Sikhs and killing them started, from AIIMS in Delhi where body of Indira was kept.
By late evening of 31st, Massacre started and spread fast to all Delhi and then to other parts as well, as far as North East.
Invariably, ‘modes-operandi’ was same all over the places. Sikhs; dragged out from their houses by ‘Congress Goons’, poured petrol/kerosene on them and set on fire. Burning Tires; slipped on their heads. Sikh’s shops/houses looted and then burnt.
Over 3000, (some quote as high as 5000+) Sikhs killed in three days.
Just have a look at who ‘all’ were in power, then.

All Congress men thus ‘secular to the core’!
Congress has a cheek to call this massacre as ‘riot’! OH! Really! By Arjun Singh’s own assertion – up above, ‘Sikhs’ had it calling. So no bullet ever fired by Police to control the ‘Congress Goons’! No one else except ‘Sikhs’; were killed, no body else; neither by Sikhs nor by Police! NOW, Delhi has/had a large cantonment, and Army deployment would have been matter of hours if not minutes, yet it took three days?!
Killers were suitably rewarded. Jagdish Tytler had been a minister in ManMohan’s Cabinet until a recent past. Kamal Nath, Sajjan Kumar, and many others were accused too; but rewarded, nevertheless. However, when they (Congress) had already decided it was an ‘extra judicial’ justice dispensation system, as Arjun proudly recounts, so what and to whom to complain! They were Victims, Judge, Jury and prosceutors. Huh!
The ‘Secularist Jihadis’ are never tired of calling ‘Gujarat Riots’ as of ‘Muslim Massacre by Hindus’, conveniently omitting any reference to Godhara – and its innocent Hindu children; men ; women burnt alive – and even the ‘so called’ Prime Minister Minion called ‘Gujarat Riots’ as ‘Holocaust’! No two wrongs make a right, I agree, but then when, the man who is the ‘Messiah of Secularism’ equates all Sikhs as Murderers of Indira, thus terrorists! The ‘Secular’ mask slips, and what we see is an ‘ugly face of blatant communal- ism’. I dare him call all Muslims as ‘Terrorists’, though 99% are infect Muslims. What we now stare at is the naked face of opportunism, cynical hunger for loot of office, loyalty to a particular family is foremost, over and above all to the Loyalty to the Nation; National Interest or its people. Just for few ‘loaves’ more! Make the most, As long as it lasts!
These men/women are our rulers these days! What a shame for a billion plus Nation!
Will dime a dozen secular NGO’s take up the issue?
Will the ‘Secular, Liberal and Progressive’ media highlight this?
Will ‘eminent’ editors, arrange any studio discussions – ‘We the People’ and ‘Big Fights’ – on the issue on their 24X7 Channel?
Answer is NO to all the above.
However, Will Supreme Court take a suo moto notice of this? I am hopeful and pray the Honorable Supreme Court to take up the matter, urgently.

In my childhood, one Sikh boy used to come to play with us. And one day I came to know he had lost his father. How? On the eve of the Congress sponsored anti-Sikh riots, his father was shutting down his shop in a haste to return safely back to his home. He was burned alive inside his shop.
This happened in a small town of Muzaffarpur in Bihar. And this is not the single event which makes us realize that the party is non-secular. Everything has a history. To say that Rajiv brought “murderers of his mother into the mainstream” is madness. Tells about the standards of those who are at the helm of power in India.

Let me answer the questions which you have asked, I am secular Indian, but unfortunately I am also a Hindu.
The crime was not committed by BJP or RSS. It was committed by Congress who has given us the freedom from the British.
The crime was not committed against any minority community (i.e. Muslim or Christine’s) so it is ok, 3000 people in 700 million is not a big number, Hindus (i.e. Sikhs) can be killed because no Arab or U.N (U.S & U.K) will protest.

It is not easy to forget and I am not asking you too, but lets try not to open up old wounds. Solving a problem using force should be the last option. Do not get carried away and forget our Guru’s teaching. Here is one to referesh your memories with, from our last Guru:

In other words, “When all modes of readdressing a wrong having failed, raising of sword is pious and just!”. Stand infront of the mirror and just imagine that a very close relative of yours or a friend , say ur mom or your sister or younger brother is killed infront of you and that too as brutually as the sikh were. Just feel that pain a child must have gone through when his father didnt return to home in the evening, his house set on fire, his whole family wiped out..and the reason for all this: He was a sikh.

Mughal army surrounded the Anadpur fort in which Guru Gobid Singh and many of his Sikhs were staying on May 3rd, 1705. This killabandi continued for next several months with intermittent fights and finally after some assurances of safe passage Guru Gobind Singh left the Anadpur fort on Dec 4, 1705. Mughal army broke their pledge and attacked him when he was near Kartarpur where a fierce fight occured between the two groups and on the banks of Sarsa river(Sutlej) Guru’s mother Mata Gujri and his two young sons aged 7 and 9 got separated. Along their way in search of safe place,they met Ganga Dhar Kaul, mostly refered as Gangu, a brahmin Pandit from Kashmir, who once used to be a household servant with Guru’s family during peace times. He took Mata Gujri and Jorawar Singh and Jujhar Singh with him for shelter in a near by village Taheri(few miles from where Chandigarh is now) in Morinda. Gangu noticed that Mata Gujri is in possesion of some expensive coins, diamonds and other valuables and duirng the night he stole the possesions blaming it on thieves. When Mata Gujri confronted him that she saw him stealing it from her bed, he showed his true colors and got them arrested by the Khan of Morinda who further handed them to Nawab of Sarhind the next day. History records that both of Guru’s sons were sentenced to be bricked alive in the wall on the provocative arguments put forward by Diwan Sucha Nand in favour of prosecution. Their only fault at the age of 7 and 9 was that they were sons of a baghi Guru Gobind Singh. Nawab of Malerkotla, Sher Mohammad Khan, protested in the court against such a cruelty because it goes against Islam to punish innocents but Nawab of Sarhind went ahead with the order and both the kids were bricked alive. When the wall went upto their necks, it fell down upon which both were killed by cutting the throat on Dec 12th, 1705. Their grandmother died the same night shocked by the news. This is the episode which is deeply engraved in the Sikh psyche for about 295 years.
Few days later Nawab of Sarhind, Wazir Khan found out that Gangu was not that innocent in helping arrest the kids. He found out that Gangu has snatched the precious possesions from Guru’s mother. He tortured Gangu in an attempt to get those possesions out of Gangu. Gangu died of these tortures some time later.
Guru Gobind Singh and many of his Sikhs escaped from this battle and later on had fierce battles with Mughal armies in Chamkaur and Mukatsar where many of his remaining dedicated followers died fighting. After which Guru Gobind Singh settled down in Talwandi Sabo and compiled Guru Granth sahib’s final draft. He also sent couple of his Sikhs to give his letter called Zafarnama that he wrote after all of his sons and many other Sikhs died fighting. Zafarnama is written in Persian in poetic form and is one of his famous writings in which he challenged Aurangzeb that he has not been able to defeat his spirit and how he was betrayed many times by Aurangzeb after taking oath on Koran. It is said(1, Ahekaam-e-Alamgiri by Inayatullah) that Aurangzeb’s clerk read the Zafarnama to him. Some of the main things that he said in Zafarnama were that; he was deceived while giving the safe passage from Anandpur Sahib allegedly on Auragzeb’s oath on Koran; He has tried the sword only after all other options ceased for him to protect the innocent, he should remember that it is necessary for the badshah that he gives justice to victims, and not punish the innocents as it will be accounted before Allah; I had to sufer on the hands of mountaineer Hindu Rajas because I tell people not to worhsip idols for which they had put me to all kind of troubles and you supported them; When I meet Hazrat Mohammad, I will tell him what type of a Musalman you are Aurangzeb; don’t be proud of your badshahi but compare it with Allah’s unlimited powers who still does good to all.
Sayyad Mohammad Latif mentions that on hearing Zafarnama, Aurangzeb felt remorseful and he gave a copy of Koran to the two Sikh messengers to give it to Guru Gobind Singh on the back page of which he invited Guru to meet him. Aurangzeb wrote(2, Vincent Smith, History of India, Oxford 1920)) to his sons Tara Azam and Kam Bhakhash “I don’t know who I am and where I am going and what will happen to me full of sins. All my life has gone in vein. Khuda was in my heart but my blind eyes have not recognised his light. There is no hope for me in future. When I am feeling turned away from my self, what can I expect form others. I have committed grave sins and I don’t know what suferings are waiting for me in future.”
It is said that during that time Guru left Punjab and headed towards Maharashtar and in Feb 1707 Aurangzeb died and Guru Gobind Singh the next year in Oct 1708. Bahadur Shah sat on the throne who died in Feb 1712 in Lahore. Faruqseer followed Bahadur Shah with a changed administrative attitude. In 1716 he admitted that Ganga Dhar Kaul was tortured and killed in excess and alloted a jagir(land) to his son Raj Kaul in a suburb of Delhi called Andha Mughal along side a canal(nehar). Raj Kaul took off his Kaul name and people started calling him Neharwala or Nehru. Bansi Dhar Nehru(1848-1913), grandfather of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru,who was a first grade magistrate in Utter Pradesh area has written about the Nehar and jagir in a note about the family history. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru writes in his autobiography(Autobiography, 1936 page 1 to 5)) that Faruqseer went to Kashmir in 1916 and brought their ancestor Raj Kaul because he was a reknowned scholar of Sanskrit and Farsi and settled him in Andha Mughal near Delhi alloting a land near the canal(nehar). All historian(other than Nehru) agree that Faruqseer never went to Kashmir. He further writes that they were called as Kaul-Nehru for a while and eventually Kaul name was dropped and Nehru became their last name.(MJ Akbar, Jawahar Lal Nehru, A Biography, p.5) Many of Nehru’s cousins still have their Kashmiri Hindu last name, prominent of which is Sheila Kaul,ex-cabinet minister in Indra Gandhi’s cabinet for long time.
During the early struggle against British, Jawahar Lal Nehru was very sympathetic to Sikhs(and also other hardliners in general) who at that time were fighting for the control of Sikh gurdwaras from British. During the famous Jaito Morcha by Akalis in 1923, Jawahar Lal, Principal A.T. Gidwani and K. Santhanam went to the support of Akalis and were arrested and prisoned for 2-1/2 years on some conditions which if they follow could be released. Moti Lal Nehru got very angree at such a childish step by emerging Indian statesman, his son Jawahar Lal and finally he was released in Nov 1923.(why he was sentenced and then released, must be some conditions that he accepted for release. although JL Nehru writes in his autobiography that there was no conditions for release). It looks like after this incidence Moti Lal Nehru had a detailed father to son talk with his son and Jawahar Lal Nehru was never the same when it came to Sikhs till his death.
Indira Gandhi continued the policy of Sikh enemity along with many other family members. Before I read research by some Sikh historians about Nehru geneology and links with Ganga Dhar Kaul, I was very impressed by reading about the life of Nehru and how he emerged from a young foreign educated spoiled only son of rich parents to a world class statesman. During that time I also read a book of memoirs by Jawahar Lal Nehru’s sister Mrs Hathi(?) who went into great details how his bahyaa did this and that. But part of Ganga Dhar Kaul was also alive with in Mrs Hathi and when commentng upon the Punjabi suba movement in the 60′s in her book, she said at one point that, she wish she had a big bomb and could kill all these trouble maker Akalis(Sikhs)(not exact qoute, does someone remember JL Nehru’s sister’s name, she was the younger one. the book is in our local library, may eb I will find it and post book’s name). In 1931 on the accomodation of Sikhs in the upcomingindependence, Jawahar Lal Nehru said” I wish I could blow away Punjab from India’s map”(in a way he did more than half of it)(“Perils of a communal Situation’ – editorial in Tribune, July 12,1931).That I read more than 10 yrs ago, but always wondered what prompted thes two siblings to display such an expression of hatred towards Sikhs and Punjab…..but now I know why.
Sikhs and Nehru-Gandhi clan do go a long way indeed.
ps: purpose of this article is to suggest that how close Guru Gobind singh and Aurangzeb were in mending their enemity while Kaul/Nehrus/Gandhis continued it until the end of 20th century.

Even people of any religion if any thing wrong is hapning to ull I will request you to go to any Sikh and ask him to help you.It is our duty to help the needey and that is what a Singh is all about.

I see a lot of resentment among Sikhs in these comments and I don’t blame them. I am a Hindu, was too young when it happened, and I read about it yesterday on Wiki and I understood the horror of those situations, I am ashamed to say that Hindus were involved in it. I know it won’t matter much, but I would like to apologize for those acts, though I was just 7 yrs old when it happened and too small to understand it.
I hope these resentments are removed with time and effort from the Hindu community.

Lets get over the complete issue from the beginning. I am a sikh and what ever happened in 1984 with the Sikhs take my soul away. But is indira Gandhi the only culprit. I can never and would never justify the attack over harimandir sahib, and if that happened I would have done the same thing that beant singh did, but was indira Gandhi the sole culprit. What about those who call them Sikhs, take on the sikh outfit and deposit the ammunition in a holy place like harimandir sahib. They cant’t be justified either. Sikhs have done so much for this nation. They have sacrificed blood, their body their sole and their lives for this nation, in war for independence and in war against neighbors. When we have done so much for this nation then why we wanted a separate nation. I never understood this crap. To some extent those who call them Sikhs were also responsible for what happened in 1984. and so far as roits are concerned, I think we have forgotten the sikh legacy. Why not gather all those culprits at a place and put tyres in their necks and set them on fire like they did. If forty Sikhs can figth an army of a million in muktsar and 21 sikhs can defeat 10000 mousolins in saragiri and 120 sikhs can defeat a whole battalion along with a tank regiment in longowal then we can do this as well. But we need to think over what wrong we have done before that. We are Sikhs we have been made to promote peace and to protect the weak. This is what our guru has taught us. This is not a hindu land this is our mother land, land of all Indians not hindus or muslims or Sikhs. No hard feelings against any one but if I have unintentionally mentioned any wrong fact then do correct me please.

im a simple sikh boy .but become a blasting fire if any one say any worst about sikhs and our religion. do you know the history about sikhs.now i will teach u sikh philosphy. dont move ur eyes from screen even for a second. We sikhs are only 2% in population , but before 1947, about 75% of sikhs sacrificed there life from only 2% in population. wearin topi’s and holding flags doesn’t change country’s future.. its needs blood to nourish there roots.our ninth guru guru teg bahadur ji sacrificed there life for hindu religion.
Our tenth guru , Guru gobind singh ji saved hindu religion from cruel emperor Aurangzeb.
Aurangzeb was forcefully converting hindus into islam. at that time guru gobind singh ji made khalse panth to save weak & innocent people from cruel powers. they uprooted the evil spirit and vanished cruel emperor.
Note; the existence of hindu religion now is only because of guru gobind singh ji decision. but what they got in exchange only death of innocent sikhs in nov. 1984. i think know u know little much if u have human heart .
