It is Just Politics ‘Stupid’! Mody, Modi & Parzania.
Mr.Dara Mody.My heart too cries with you Mr.Dara Mody, just as we cry with parents of those hapless children too who were ‘butchered at Nithari’. Much as you feel this aIf evergony any parent or I too, do. I can sympathize, moving beyond, as I already did, pledge my ‘unconditional support and all out efforts to find your son, Azhar’. Trust me.
Modi., a person is so much “Loved to be Hated” is a man called Narendera Modi.An ‘elected’ chief minister of Gujarat. A state that has been among the most prosperous and well managed state under his stewardship. This is not my assessment but as confirmed by the one of the ‘Secular and Liberal’ editor in chief. Another ‘torch bearer’ of secularism vouches for it too though on page no.15, lest the Madame gets offended. The state, led by Modi, an elected Chief Minister is appreciated for its growth and even his ‘harshest’ critics appreciate ‘him’ for attracting investment, though they ‘lament it too’. Why, even the industrialists praising Modi is lamented? Read this, Fifteen minutes of infamy. Why is it so that no opportunity is ever missed by the ‘secular, liberal and progressive media’ and other foot soldiers of ‘secularism’ to vilify Modi in particular and Gujaratis in general? What is wrong? Where? And of course Why?
Wrong? Because, He is Narrendera Modi. A BJP Chief Minister! Elected by the people of state. Their objection/ruse is how dare a BJP Chief Minister or NDA ruled states could be better than the “secular parties” ruled states, even by the rules and standards of Congress?
Where?Since it is Gujarat we are talking about and that is what makes it for ‘Headlines’ for all the right or wrong reasons. A state which has been branded by the ‘secularists’, for all the time to come, as a fascist regime because of “Genocide, Massacre, Where ‘minorities’ were Butchered” all this just because… JUST BECAUSE? 59 Fanatic ‘Ram Bhakats’ lost/died, in the Sabarmati train tragedy. TRAGEDY ?? [sic.]
Why?Because, Bashing Modi is an industry. It has its own ecomomics, rewards and awards. The more louder, often rhetoric against Modi the more secular you become. Once you start ‘bad mouthing’ Modi for all the ills anywhere in the world, then open a shop they call it NGO and lo and behold the doors for unaccounted foreign funds are opened. End less seminars, rounds of Big Fights and We the people, hours and hours of prime time on 24×7 channels and one Sunny Republic Day you find your name on the Padma Bhushan awards list. Remember? Teesta Setalwad? She has ‘managed’ one this year. Aren’t these reasons enough for the question WHY?
Finally ‘Parzania’.I, as such have just heard about the movie and nothing much. Therefore shall not comment upon the movie. “Parzania” is ‘ostensibly’ a movie based upon the real story of a young boy lost in the aftermaths of communal riots that followed after the ‘actual’ “torching” of Sabharmati Express at Godhara station. Mind it, it is my ‘communal’ interpretation of events, as they actually happened, much to chagrin of ‘secularists’ who want us to believe it otherwise. Secular Brigade willing they would change the sequence of events i.e. Godhara followed after Genocide of Muslims in 2002 in Narrendera Modi’s Gujarat. Just as the editor in chief believe. However since this issue has already been debated, let us move to another issue,
Controversy around “Parzania”.Since there was none, and it did not ‘suit’ the agenda of ‘secularists’ so they ‘created’ one. Hey! Now What? Since there are no more sticks left (as far as economic indicators suggest and the relative communal calm) to beat the ‘bush’ (read Modi) all the ‘secularists and liberals’ have taken upon themselves to promote the cause of ‘Parzania’. At times I suspect and – proven right too, that these ‘secularists’ interests lie in keeping the ‘communal cauldron’ boiling for as long as possible. At least long enough till most of them ‘manage’ some Padma Bhushan awards from a ‘secular’ government or their own ‘political’ agendas and ambitions are met with. BUT, as many of you will agree with that ‘they’ have some more sinister designs than what is visible.
The ‘movie’, which has been in news, is because it has been released, but Gujarat Exhibitors have not shown any enthusiasm to exhibit the movie. And this is what our ‘secularists’ friends can’t digest or so it seems. Why they have refused to screen the movie is ‘bone of contention’. ‘Secularists’ allege that exhibitors are threatened by the BJP govt. and are scared of inviting the wrath of ‘saffron goons’, though no particular incident is ever mentioned any where yet a ‘motive’ is being imputed for exhibitors not ‘screening’ it!If the threat part is true then why do the Producer and ‘Secularists’ not go to the Court? Just as they did in the case of ‘Fana’. But till date neither the Producer/Director/Crew of “Movie” nor the ‘secularists’ has approached any Court, and it amply proves the point – I am trying to make – the charges hurled at, are baseless.
All these ‘worthies’ who are making such a hue and cry, know the fact that the Gujarat Government has NOT banned the film, very unlike the Congress Ruled State Governments banning, YES! Officially banning Da-Vinchi-Code here, here, here, here and here too. Despite the Super censor Priya Ranjan Dass Munshi clearing it first (another precedent set up by this Football Manager) with a rider, even after Censor board had cleared the movie and Courts rejecting the plea to ban the movie. And why was the Da-Vinchi-Code banned? Because of this! Or Madame Sonia Gandhi being a Christian needed to be ‘humored’?
All the secular and liberal, free speech advocates please answer the above questions. Any ‘eminent’ Ladies and Gentlemen, any of you? Any?
The one reason, which seems very reasonable, could be sound ‘financial assessment’, at the part of exhibitors, after all my Gujarati sisters and brothers are famous for their business acumen, world over.
My TakeAs always these ‘secularists’ have exposed themselves for what they really are.
1.Why no ‘secular’24×7 channel has till date shown the picture of Azhar Mody? Would it not have been more helpful for Mr.Dara and his well wishers to track Azhar?
2.Has any ‘secular’ newspaper published the picture of the boy?
As far as I know I have not seen any photograph any where except the long winding articles be ‘secularists’, if any reader has seen the photograph then send me the link I will pursue all my other friends to publish it so we could help trace the boy.
But then again, it is just politics “Stupid”!

i wonder how could modi be defended? how do you know that modi’s goonsare not threatenng cinema owners?
the theatre owners acted in their best economic interests. no reason to complain. the ’secularists’ are manufacturing a controversy where none exists.
Daniel Pipes’ opinion on this issue.
http://www.danielpipes.org/article/1167
Dr. Muqtedar Khan Says about separation of state and religion: Secularism may be a desirable, but not a necessary precondition in order to foster state neutrality in a multireligious society. Consider the U.K., which is formally a theocratic democracy. The monarch is head of the church as well as head of the government. Changes in the doctrines of the Church of England are a matter for the British Parliament. While England is a theocratic democracy, India is a secular democracy; in England the government remains neutral, whereas in India government takes sides in communal violence. Recently, in Gujarat in March 2002, the Hindu ruling party, BJP [Bharatiya Janata Party], was implicated in the massacre of Muslims. According to Human Rights Watch, the Gujarat government had ordered the police not to protect minorities. The key issue is whether states realize religious freedom and religious equality and not constitutional secularity.
Dr. Daniel Pipes: We generally agree on this one.
Daniel Pipes is one of those who calls a spade a spade. Wonderful personality. Fearless and logical.
Good site!!!
I assume , most of the prominent social changes have taken place form Gujarat. This too is a social change. Modi is the Right person for Gujarat. The same way(fight for the freedom) tomorrow Gujarat will go everywhere and will be followed. That is the only remaining solution in Gujarat, when whole world is in the clutches of terrorism. Gujarati’s dont like to cry over sour milk. They take actions. It seems so!
Indian
If I am to emulate, then will follow Sardar Patel (another Gujarati and THE MOST PRUDENT INDIAN) not Gandhi .
I feel Modi has been demonised ,just for being not bird hearted.
I can foresee, sooner or later this man will have to come to Delhi on the national stage.
I long to see that day.
PI.
Prudent Indian, I agree with what you said above.
Yes, people were killed in the Sabarfmarti slaughter. That was one terrible event. Then that was compounded in mutliples by a mob indiscriminately killing Muslims, and of course, Azhar Mody, a Parsee, a child. In no way does the slaughter of Sabamarti justify another and much worse slaughter. The criminals responsible for Sabarmati should have been hunted down and tried in the courts. Instead, hotheaded fanatics indiscriminately killed men, women, children. There is absolutely no justification for either tragedy.
I am secularist, yes, because I believe religion should be personal, not poltiical. Politics should be based on known facts as much as possible, not something unprovable such as faith. Every religious group has its people who think they, and they alone, speak for God. These people whould stay in the pulpits and out of politics. Can we all just acknowledge that none of us has the whole truth, and the “other guy” might have just as much of it as we do?
